Outer Banks 2013: Day 7, Thursday June 13th

10:30 AM
Goodmorning everybody! I have been up since 8 this morning, but just now got the chance to write! We have been pretty busy getting ready this morning, because today we are going to Cape Lookout! It is an uninhabited island in the OBX, with a lighthouse on it. It is sooo pretty, and has some of the biggest seashells I have ever seen! We are driving through Harkers Island right now to get to the ferry that will give us a ride over. Our directions for getting to the ferry was to drive until we ran out of land, and that is where they would be :) It might be a while before I post again, but when I do I will have a yon of pictures!!
Other than that It has been a fairly uneventful morning so far. But guess what I had for breakfast! For once, not a muffin! I had a Krispy Kream doughnut :) I am such a healthy eater ;)

4:30 PM
Just got off of the Island! We had so much fun :) The very first thing the "Captain" said when we got on the boat was
"I am saying this because the Coast Guard makes me... If the boat happens to sink for some reason, we will drop the life jackets, just don't panic! The best way to avoid drowning, is to just stand up... The water is about three feet deep all the way across. The only way you could drown is if you just refuse to stand up..."

6:00 PM
We decided to go back to Beaufort and visit a few of the shops we missed the other day. Once again, I got another book. But this time it was against my will... My school has Summer Reading work and I have to read The Scarlet Letter... woo hoo...

8:00 PM
Tonight we decided to eat at the Clam Digger Inn. It was ok, not amazing. I had Chicken Parmesan  Now we are on our way to play Putt-putt one last time!

9:00 PM
Finished playing at Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf, which was very fun :)
I finally got a hole in one! Everyone in my family (including my eight year old brother) had gotten one this week except me, and I finally did! :)

10:30 PM
I am absolutely wiped out... I have been updating and checking and fixing and reading and I am about to fall over! It has been a very long and tiring day, so I think I am going to bid you all Goodnight and talk to toy tomorrow! Love you all! :)

Ipsy: June

So guys... I resubscribed to Ipsy!  Since I was back to having a summer job I figured I could spare $10 a month!  And so far, this bag wasn't the best, but I updated my profile so it will take a minute for them to readapt. The bag this month though... It is on my swap site on MySubscriptionAddiction if you want it!  Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. This is the Kokie nail polish in the color Gone Rio.  I hadn't ever heard of this brand before, but the packaging is adorable!  Apparently you can buy it at Walmart for around $5.  The color is a really nice orange-y coral and it has a decent lasting power considering how rough I am on my nails!  Overall I liked it and I would buy from this brand again. This is the City Color Shimmer Shadow in the color Cheers to Life.  It is a pretty basic sandy brown with a ton of shimmer, obviously!  City Color isn't my favorite brand to get because it is fairly cheap and the products are ki...

DIY Bath Fizz

Personally, I love the little Bath Fizzes you can buy, they are just so much fun!! How fun would it Be to be able to make you own! Tools and Materials Baking soda Cornstarch Citric acid Spritzer bottles Food coloring Glass bowl Essential oil Baking molds How-To: 1. Sift 1 3/4 cup baking soda, 1 cup citric acid, and 2 cups cornstarch through a sieve to remove all of the chunks. To make different colors, fill small spritzer bottles with water and add about 6 drops of food coloring to each.  2. Pour 1 cup of the powdered mixture into a bowl. Lightly spray, stirring after each spritz, until powder is your desired color. Next, add water slowly, so mixture does not fizz. Check the consistency of powder with your fingers; when it can be tightly packed or shaped like sand, stop adding water (this may take a little while). 3. Select an essential oil. Add 5 drops if it's one of the stronger scents (peppermint or lavender), and 6 if it's a weaker one (lemon or grapefr...

My Petal Club

A new box!  And a PERIOD subscription box at that!  I love finding new boxes to try out, especially when they are this affordable!  This box is normally $6.99 per month, but if you use the discount code "SUMMER" on mypetalclub.com , this box will be only $3.50!  And let's be honest, one box of pads/tampons is usually more expensive than that, so why not give it a try?? So this box primarily consists of just the period products with very few extras.  This isn't one of the present, feel-good kind of boxes, it just provides you with the necessary products to get through the month, at an affordable price. Step One The first thing you do on their website is choose the combination of products you will need.  Be warned, you aren't given as much of a selection if you order through Cratejoy like I did.  It worked totally fine and I still got the products I needed, but I like choice!  So I suggest going straight through their website....
