About Me

Hi, my name is Bethany!

I am 20 years old, and currently a Junior at Appalachian State University!  I am majoring in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in English and Social Studies.  I have one younger brother who just began middle school, and I am a very family oriented person.  I am also currently in a four year relationship with a wonderful man who is attending Appalachian as well!  Some of my passions include baking cupcakes, packing, and blogging, and I am absolutely crazy about Disney!

I created this blog in 2012 and at the time, I was a high school sophomore ecstatic about going to the beach and in need of an outlet to projecting that excitement.  Since it's creation, the goals of this blog have slightly changed and matured as I have.  Most of my posts are now focused around my life, including travel, as well as special events and my daily activities. I also enjoy posting about baking, makeup, subscription boxes, packing, and planning. If you can't tell, it's a pretty eclectic mix, but writing about each of these things truly sparks joy in my life!

SprezzaBox: September + Bonus Box!

You all may remember that I ordered a Sprezza box last year around this time of the year as a present for my boy.  If you want to see that box you can find it here!  I was amazed then, and then I ordered these and have been even more impressed!  These boxes are full of really nice quality products for men, and I love that there is a subscription company catering to the men in our lives and trying to make them dress better. When I ordered they were doing a promotion, which was the current box and a past box for $20.  I'm not sure if it is still active, but I used the code "BONUSBOX20" so you all can give it a shot!

The September box theme was "The Perry" with classic patterns, but heavier fabrics and darker colors for fall.

This box included: Bryt Dress Socks - $11.66FRESHeTech Earbuds - $29.95Peter Daniel Leather Bracelet - $10Sprezza Pocket Square - $18English Laundry Oxford Bleu Cologne - They said this small bottle was worth $20, but the full size 1.7 oz is …

Nadine West: Fourth Shipment

So this wasn't the most successful shipment ever, but I still got one nice piece out of it!  And they left me a sweet surprise which I'll tell you about at the end, so I wasn't upset at all!
This is actually two items from my shipment!  This outfit contains both the shirt and leggings from this month, and they kind of go together!
Though I really liked the pattern of the leggings, they are much more like tights.  They were totally see through, which made me pretty sad.  If they were marketed as tights then I wouldn't be too disappointed, but these were called Leggings.  They retailed for $14.49, and I didn't keep them.
The shirt fit very well and was extremely comfy.  I have been looking for a shirt this color, so I was pretty excited to see it in my bag, even though it is pretty basic.  This shirt also retailed for $14.49, and I did elect to keep it!
These are the "Beauty Within" earrings, and I'm actually pretty sure I received the matching neckl…

College Countdown: Dorm Tour

I think I finally got my side of my dorm to look how I want it to this year, and I am absolutely thrilled with it!

I chose the colors yellow and grey, which isn't what I'd usually pick, but I've been thrilled with the way it turned out!  I'm not going to mention where every little thing is from, if you want more information on that you can check out my Dorm HaulI posted earlier this week, but I will do my best to hit he highlights!
First I will start off with my desk area.  From right to left I keep my makeup in the drawers I DIYed, my makeup mirror from Amazon, my desk organizer filled with legitimate desk things, as well as more makeup and makeup brushes, my tea station with my chip mug and honey, my textbooks, and finally my sticky notes and Ray Bans!
The wall above my desk I turned into sort of a gallery wall!  It has been a process to get all of this up, because anything even semi heavy continues to fall down!  From top to bottom: I picked up the canvases at a bi…
