About Me


Hi, my name is Bethany!

 I am 22 years old, and just graduated from Appalachian State University!  I majored in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in English and Social Studies.  I am currently working in an Afterschool Care program, as well as tutoring and substituting until I find a full time teaching position.  I have one younger brother who is in middle school, and I am a very family oriented person.  I am also currently in a relationship with a wonderful man who attended Appalachian as well!  Some of my passions include baking cupcakes, packing, essential oils, and blogging, and I am absolutely crazy about Disney!

 I created this blog in 2012 and at the time, I was a high school sophomore ecstatic about going to the beach and in need of an outlet for projecting that excitement.  Since its creation, the goals of this blog have slightly changed and matured as I have.  Most of my posts are now focused around my life, including travel, as well as special events and my daily activities. I also enjoy posting about baking, drinks, and other recipes, as well as makeup, subscription boxes, essential oils, packing, and planning. If you can't tell, it's a pretty eclectic mix, but writing about each of these things truly sparks joy in my life!

Disney 2017: Day 7

8:20 a.m. Off to Magic Kingdom!   Instead of going through the whole hassle of the ferry boat this morning we decided to park at Grand Floridian (since we have dining reservations tonight), and ride the monorail into... The Magic Kingdom!  After last night we are all a little wiped out and a bit out of heart, but we are trying to buck up and put ourselves in a better mood! Today I am wearing a tank top from Target that we had custom printed to be matching family shirts! Mine is Tink, my brothers says Pan, dad is Hook and my mom (who's name is Wendy) says Wendy Darling! Thanksgiving Outfits!

Usually on Thanks giving I end up wearing a t-shirt and jeans because I have been cooking all day, and because it is just my family! I mean who am I trying to impress! ;) But this year I want it to be different! I want the world to change for the better and to... wait, no no that is a different speech ;) I want to look cute this year, is that to much to ask?? I found all of these pictures on Pinterest. If you would like to see more like them (or just really want to be nice!) you can click here to go follow me! Dressy So if you have to go out somewhere with your family, or are required to dress up (more that normal at least) then I thought this would be a good outfit for you! A basic white scoop or v-neck T-shirt, a dark blue pleated skirt with a brown belt around your waist, and matching brown cutout flats. The huge tote bag and sunglasses are most definitely optional! Planner and Decor Haul

So, I have done some (meaning way too much) shopping recently, and I thought it might be fun to let you all in on some of the purchases I have made that are slightly atypical for me!  Usually when I shop I am focused on buying obnoxious amounts of clothing and makeup which I most certainly do not need.  Instead, I have recently been purchasing obnoxious amounts of room decor and planner accessories, that I also do not need! Along with the clothing and makeup... Good trade off right? Target The first store I hit up (twice actually) was Target.  You guys, that dollar section at the front of the store gets me every time! It is like a vortex that slowly sucks you in until you are buying fairy wands and bowls with straws and believing that these things have completely legitimate purposes!
