Dirty Myrtle: Days 6 and 7

Day 6

12:00
Hello everyone! I just sat my butt down on the beach, and this is a little late for even us!

This morning Kaitlyn suggested walking to the Starbucks down the road, and who was I to turn her down?

After that little endeavor we came back to put sunscreen on, and headed out to the beach! We are cooking in tonight, so we can stay out later since we don't have to dress up! Also update, thankfully the sunburns on our butts have faded out and aren't as painful 😂

4:55
So we ended up going in for lunch around 2:00 and had leftovers again, but then something exciting happened… I got to FaceTime my boyfriend! He is currently on a study abroad trip in Africa doing clinical shadowing in a hospital in Zambia. He has only been gone about a week so far, but I haven't gotten to talk to him very much, so I was really happy about that!

Pretty awesome view while talking to him too!

7:00
We are cooking dinner again tonight! We are having chicken Alfredo with roasted tomatoes and salad.

12:00

We ended up spending a few hours in the pool and hot tub enjoying some of our last days here. This counts as staying up late right?

Day 7

11:00
Good morning everyone! I went and got doughnuts again… we are going to gain a million pounds by the end of this trip.

12:00
Time for a lunch of leftovers!
Aren't we cute and matchy?

Am I an Instagram model yet with my fuzzy hair and patchy sunburn?

6:35
Headed out to dinner!

My outfit: shirt and shorts are both American Eagle, and my bralette is Aerie… not much variety today huh?

Kaitlyn's outfit: Shirt is from Target

8:50
More Tangers shopping!

We had seafood for dinner at a little hole in the wall type place. I had calamari and Kaitlyn had crab legs!

Can you tell she is excited about them?

10:30
We just made it back from shopping… this is probably the latest we've stayed out yet! Of course it would be so we could waste more money…

1:00
Wow… we finally broke our old lady streak to stay up late! Aren't you proud of us??

We made strawberry slushies and went down to the pool for a few hours, and then came back up to our condo to enjoy the last fleeting moments of this vacation 😢

My Everyday/Travel Makeup Bag

So as I was putting together the list for makeup bag that I will have with me in the car when I go on my trip to the beach this summer, I decided that you might want to know exactly what's in there and why I bring them :) The first thing I going to show you is this awesome pallet I found in a discount makeup store: It is a "Sweet by Day, Sexy by Night" pallet. On one side it has a dark brown and a champagne shade eye shadow, a light and a dark shade of bronzer, a light and dark brown shade of lipgloss, and two small applicators. On the other it has a light shade of pink and an almost purple eye shadow, a light and dark shade of blush, a light and dark shade of pink lipgloss, and two small applicators. You can buy it at www.amazon.com/day-to-night for $5. I thought this was the most simple way to pack all that i would need! Next I'm going to show you the face products I am bringing: They are: The Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder The ELF Aloe Infus...

VoxBox: Tressemé Beauty-Full Volume

I know I don't usually post at 9 o'clock on Monday nights, but I wanted to go ahead and get this out to you all while I had time, because... I got another VoxBox! This one was the Tresemmé Reverse Your Routine box with a full sized shampoo and conditioner. This is a Volumizing system, and is reffered to as "Reverse Your Routine" because you conditioner before you shampoo... Weird right?  I have to say I was a little confused and skeptical at first. The concept is that when you put conditioner in your hair and rinse then residue is left on weighing down your hair.  My thoughts were that the residue left were the moisturizing properties and that you wouldn't want to rid yourself of all of them... It just seemed a little pointless. I have been using this combination periodically for a few weeks now, and surprisingly I actually really like it!  When I get out of the shower my hair does feel much lighter than usual.  Though it is hard to tell if I have...

Winter As a College Student

Let me just tell you, there isn't a thing in the world fun about a dorm room in the winter!  On the happen chance that yours is as old as mine (pre-1960s, thank you very much) you probably have radiators too, which personally, I have very little control over.  Even on the off setting they exude so much heat that the room is stifling!  And then you open the window and snow starts blowing in... Yay Appalachian Mountains! Let's just all agree that is quite a process.  So what is one to do to combat these cold (and getting colder!) temperatures? First, I've got two B's for you (mostly because I couldn't come up with a third...)  Blankets and Bedwarmers! Let's face it, dorm rooms are tiny and your bed is the focus of the majority of decor, as well as where you will be spending a large portion of your time (yay Netflix binges!) so you need to make sure it is super cozy! Personally, I have my sheets and comforter that I sleep under every night.  ...
