Last Minute Present: Oven Mitt

This is a super easy (and cheap) present that someone who loves baking or cooking would adore!  I received this as a gift last year and I was so excited!  To top it all off, this present couldn't get any easier, and it could be made for under $10 but is very versatile and can be made as elaborate or simple as you want!  


So the basics, you are going to need an oven mitt to put the whole present in, and then a few tools to solidify the cooking theme.  I know for a fact the mitt, as well as the tools below, came from Walmart and can be snagged super cheap.


Then you need to fill it with candy and food!  In mine she added chocolate chip cookie mix, hot chocolate mix, and candy canes.  Super simple right?  And definitely something you could run to Walmart right now and put together. 


Like I said before, there are many variations you could do with this present!  My mom has a wood burning tool and can burn designs into wooden spoons and cutting boards, so that would be a really cool and personal edition to this present.  My dad made this for his coworkers and left out the cookie mix but added more candy.  I made this for someone for their wedding and added jars with chalkboard labels, measuring spoons and cups, all in a basket!  It was more expensive, but super cute!  You can go a number of ways with this, and all of them are cute and easy, and if given to the right person they will love it!

Blueberry Crush Sangria

I'm considering a new series on this blog... How would you all feel about wine Wednesdays?  Not every Wednesday of course, but just to mix things up sometimes!  Most all of the drinks I make end up being something I concoct from various ideas and recipes I see online, and then add wine to it, and voilà, wine punch!  And I see a distinct lack of wine punch or creative sangria recipes on Pinterest, so look no further; I'm coming to the rescue! Homemade Beauty: EXTREME Moisturizing Lotion

You Will Need: 16 ounces baby lotion 8 ounces coconut oil (solid form, not melted) 8 ounces vitamin E cream Directions: Mix together with handheld mixer until it resembles thick creamy icing... just don't eat it ;) And remember to store in air tight containers!  Side note, If you don't have coconut oil you can substitute in Vaseline it will just be a little greasyer :)
