Outer Banks 2013: Day 11, Monday June 17th

9:00 AM
Well we had to wake up early this morning... Since Elijah was sick yesterday we missed a lot of what we were going to do, and had to try and fit it all in in two days instead of three. But missing that day was worth it because he feels so much better today :) We had waffles again foe breakfast this morning, which were just as good as the day before. Now we are driving across the road to the Wright Brothers Memorial.

Now we are on our way to Currituck Lighthouse!

We de decided to stop for lunch at a place in Duck called Route 12.
 We know about it because it was featured on the Tv show Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. I had Chicken Tenders and fries, which were very good :)
4:00 PM
We just left Currituck Lighthouse, the Wildlife Center, and The Whalehead Club.

For something that was built to be purely functional, it has some pretty iron work :)

Now we are on our way back to Duck to do some shopping :)

We just left the shopping center! I didn't get anything, but I did get this humungo snow cone!
It was huge!!!
Now we are heading out to eat!

Tonight, our last night, we ate at the Sugarshack where I had Bacon and Cheese filled Potato Skins. Once again we got to watch the sun set while we ate which was very pretty :)

 We were planning on playing Putt-putt one last time before vacation ended, but it is raining :( So instead we are making another trip back to Kitty Hawk Kites! :)

Made it back to the room finally :) At Kitty Hawk Kites Elijah got to pick out a toy, so he picked this set where you build a straw... It sounded kind of weird, until I saw him do it :)
Now I think it is pretty awesome :)
We have been working on repacking up all of our suitcases again and we just finished! So I would say it is time to go to bed. Goodnight everyone! :)

Apartment Tour + Fall Decor!

It's coming a bit late, because by this point I have Christmas decor up, but why not?  It isn't December yet, and I loved my fall decor and wanted to show it off! Entrance and "Dining Room" We did our best to section off the living room/dining room/kitchen area so it had a house feel that trashy college apartment.  We also tried to add all the things we could to make it feel more bright and homey since only one piece of furniture in here is actually ours!  The rest was provided for us. Guys, I finally got another one!  If you weren't around for the first one I got  (here is the link to the first post) then I will explain what this is again. It is a site you sign up for where you take surveys and write reviews on products to earn points, and once you have enough points they will sometimes send you one of these Boxes! So just a little disclaimer, all of these products were sent to me for testing purposes by Influenster, but the opinions are all my own! Review: Etsy Body Products!

Whipped Up Wonderful Whipped Up Wonderful is a wonderful Etsy company that I have had the opportunity to order from multiple times now, as you all saw in my  Truffle Themed Present  post. In this such oder I chose the Cinnamon Bun Bubble Bar.  First of all, it looks and smells exactly like you could just pop it in your mouth and eat it! It is $7.99, and can be broken apart and used for multiple baths.  As I said, it smells heavenly, makes tons of bubbles, and because the majority of the product is Cocoa butter it makes the water incredibly silky!  She has a fun promotion going, that if you post a picture of your products from her shop and she reposts your picture, you can mention it in you next order and get a free random bath bomb!  That is what I did in this case, and received the Orange Peel Bath Bomb.  I tend to go for warmer food scents, and this is a very herbal scent, but I will definitely still put it to use!
