Fix a Self Tanning Mistake!

So you decided to try Self-Tanning for the first time, or maybe you are an old pro! You apply/spray it on, wait for the color to develop, take a look in the mirror and discover.... Oooooh no! You are covered in orange streaks!
Well don't worry about it :) I have a little DIY Self Tanning Mistake Fixer that will fade it away and leave you feeling refreshed!

Ingredients:

1 lemon
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup sea salt
¼ cup baking soda

Instructions:
1.) Mix sugar, sea salt, and baking soda in a small bowl
2.) Cut the lemon in half
3.) Dip the exposed side of the lemon into the mixture

Now, gently rub the lemon slice along any streaky and blotchy areas of your body. Another method is to squeeze the lemon juice directly into the  mixture and apply the paste to streaky areas with your hands, a loofah, or a washcloth. The lemon is going to lighten your self-tanner streaks and the sugar, sea salt, and baking soda will exfoliate.

Try to do this as soon as possible after the mistake, because the sooner you realize it, the sooner you can fix it!

Last Minute Present: Oven Mitt

This is a super easy (and cheap) present that someone who loves baking or cooking would adore!  I received this as a gift last year and I was so excited!  To top it all off, this present couldn't get any easier, and it could be made for under $10 but is very versatile and can be made as elaborate or simple as you want!   So the basics, you are going to need an oven mitt to put the whole present in, and then a few tools to solidify the cooking theme.  I know for a fact the mitt, as well as the tools below, came from Walmart and can be snagged super cheap. Then you need to fill it with candy and food!  In mine she added chocolate chip cookie mix, hot chocolate mix, and candy canes.  Super simple right?  And definitely something you could run to Walmart right now and put together.  Like I said before, there are many variations you could do with this present!  My mom has a wood burning tool and can burn designs into wooden...

Winter As a College Student

Let me just tell you, there isn't a thing in the world fun about a dorm room in the winter!  On the happen chance that yours is as old as mine (pre-1960s, thank you very much) you probably have radiators too, which personally, I have very little control over.  Even on the off setting they exude so much heat that the room is stifling!  And then you open the window and snow starts blowing in... Yay Appalachian Mountains! Let's just all agree that is quite a process.  So what is one to do to combat these cold (and getting colder!) temperatures? First, I've got two B's for you (mostly because I couldn't come up with a third...)  Blankets and Bedwarmers! Let's face it, dorm rooms are tiny and your bed is the focus of the majority of decor, as well as where you will be spending a large portion of your time (yay Netflix binges!) so you need to make sure it is super cozy! Personally, I have my sheets and comforter that I sleep under every night.  ...

Apartment Tour + Fall Decor!

It's coming a bit late, because by this point I have Christmas decor up, but why not?  It isn't December yet, and I loved my fall decor and wanted to show it off! Entrance and "Dining Room" We did our best to section off the living room/dining room/kitchen area so it had a house feel that trashy college apartment.  We also tried to add all the things we could to make it feel more bright and homey since only one piece of furniture in here is actually ours!  The rest was provided for us. So for the dining are my roommate who replaced her desk chair with a comfy version brought out her chair so we could have 5 seats.  We then added cute placemats which stay out year round For fall decor I added the glittery leaf centerpiece and a few candles, as well as the wine bottles! I painted these, and though they aren't my best I still liked them!  I used twine on the top, stickers from Target around the sides, and painters tape to make the letters, and th...
