Homemade Beauty: Lavender Facial Toner

Lavender is in bloom right now, so it is the perfect time to make this natural (and cheap!) DIY facial toner!
Ingredients:
1 Tbs lavender buds
1 cup pure witch hazel
6 drops lavender essential oil
1 cup distilled water

Directions:
  1. Combine the witch hazel, lavender buds, and essential oil in an air tight jar and store in a cool, dark location for 2 weeks.  Shake the jar vigorously every day while the lavender is steeping.
  2. After 2 weeks, strain out the lavender buds using a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth.
  3. Add 1 cup distilled water and mix.
  4. Can be stored at room temperature and is best if used within 12 months of preparation.

Bulu Box: February

So I saw a coupon on this Subscription box which would make every box you ever ordered $5 instead of $10, which sounds great right?  Not so my friends... I figured this would be a nice health subscription box with healthy food and workout tips, maybe with a few supplements... It is almost entirely supplements, and I am not a big enough health nut to buy into it all... So needless to say, I canceled, but thought I'd let you know what I received and a couple of the small highlights! The first thing I pulled out was the Vital 4U Fiber Drink which is: "Packed with soluble prebiotic fiber...to promote better gut health and digestion."  These are $12.00 for a 12 pack, and I received two, so basically a $2 value.  I gave these to my mom to add into our smoothies she makes for an added boost, because I didn't want to drink them straight. There were the only things I was SUPER excited about! I love gummy vitamins!  These were the best I had ever tried, with a g...

College Countdown: Basic College Packing List

In this list I'm not going to go over every single thing.  Throughout this week I will do separate posts on Clothing and Makeup etc.  On Saturday of this week I will post a concise version of this including everything mentioned.  For now I would just like to go over basics such as kitchen items, "school supplies" and other items you may not have thought of! Kitchen These are basics that you might need if you are in a dorm and do not necessarily have a kitchen.  I will have a sink, so it will be doable for me to wash dishes as needed.  If you do not have a sink you might consider buying disposable silverware and dishes so you won't have to wash them in the bathroom. Plastic Bowls Plastic Cups Tumblers or Reusable Water Bottles - I recommend this regardless of if you have a sink. Brita Pitcher - The water will probably be different from what you are used to, and this will make the transition easier Ice Cube Trays Plastic Ice Cubes - If the water is jus...

This is the first of a new series called the "Summer Essentials"!  Enjoy! :) So... when you are going somewhere on vacation you can't just carry all of your makeup around in your hands, I mean who does that! We've got to pack in style! I found quite a few different makeup bag, case, and organizer options, and most are at relatively cheap prices! Check them out and find the one that is perfect for you!! :) 1. This is a small sequined cloth bag with a zipper top. Cloth is less structured and is more apt to absorb spills, but you can also just toss it into the washing machine when it gets dirty.  This would be a bag I would stick into my purse for the day or for an overnight trip. It's dimensions are   7" High x 10" Wide x 2" Deep It comes in Blue and White, Black and White, and Pink and Black. $5.80 at  www.forever21.com/beauty_acc 2. This is a larger striped cosmetic bag with a handle, the top zips around to fli...
