Back into the Swing of Things :)

Well June was a busy and fun filled month :)

Since about halfway through May I have been posting all about packing and my trip to the beach, this past week or two I have even been posting every day! Well I am about ready to get back to normal, aren't you?

Last week our church had Bible school every evening. I have been working with our counties Children's Librarian almost every morning through the past two weeks, and I will be continuing through next week. I am going to be leaving for a church camp in about 11 days. I will get back from camp on the 19th, and my little brothers birthday party is the 20th. On the 22nd I am leaving for the beach with my friend, and we will get back on the 27th. After that I will be heading over to Pigeon Forge a few times before school starts on August 17th. And then Summer is over! Isn't that something to think about...

Needless to say I have some pre-written posts for the rest of this month, which is why I might seem distant or detached. I am very sorry about that though! I will try to put up a few more Summer Days Blog posts before school starts back, but if I had to bet, you all are tired of hearing about my life for a while. And I don't blame you! :)

We will get back into the swing of things with a "Homemade Beauty" post on Friday. But in the mean time, have a happy and safe 4th of July and remember that I love all of you! :)

College Countdown: Basic College Packing List

In this list I'm not going to go over every single thing. Throughout this week I will do separate posts on Clothing and Makeup etc. On Saturday of this week I will post a concise version of this including everything mentioned. For now I would just like to go over basics such as kitchen items, "school supplies" and other items you may not have thought of! Kitchen These are basics that you might need if you are in a dorm and do not necessarily have a kitchen. I will have a sink, so it will be doable for me to wash dishes as needed. If you do not have a sink you might consider buying disposable silverware and dishes so you won't have to wash them in the bathroom. Plastic Bowls Plastic Cups Tumblers or Reusable Water Bottles - I recommend this regardless of if you have a sink. College Countdown: Packing Clothing and Cleaning Out

Let's tackle the packing part first... Instead of folding or rolling all of the clothes which needed to be hung up and carting them to college in a suitcase, I left them on hangers and wrapped a trash bag around them. Once arriving in my dorm I hung them up, cut off the bags, and everything was great! Also, if you can guarantee that you won't need your warm winter kind of clothing until after Fall Break, then don't bring it! Take home summer clothes over Spring Break and bring back any fall clothes (which I'll mark on this list with a * for convenience). Many people on the Internet strictly recommend the thin felt hangers, I have used cheap Walmart hangers and haven't had a problem, so I guess it's personal preference! Nadine West: Third Shipment

Another Nadine West bag! This is such a fun little bag, and I have really looked forward to every one thus far! These are the Simple Sparkles "diamond" stud earrings. Though these are very cute and I actually kinda wanted to keep them, I have too many pair that are too similar. These did retail for $6.49 though, which is suuuuper reasonable. This is the Make a Wish necklace. I wanted to like this based off of the name, but it just really isn't my style! I don't feel like I can pull off a crown necklace/princess persona... But anyway, this retails for $17.99, which I feel is a bit much for cheap jewelry. This is the Constance top. It is like a baby pink chevron cami, and I wasn't into this really. I have enough camis, and am not really into printed ones, so this just wasn't my style.
