Back into the Swing of Things :)

Well June was a busy and fun filled month :)

Since about halfway through May I have been posting all about packing and my trip to the beach, this past week or two I have even been posting every day! Well I am about ready to get back to normal, aren't you?

Last week our church had Bible school every evening. I have been working with our counties Children's Librarian almost every morning through the past two weeks, and I will be continuing through next week. I am going to be leaving for a church camp in about 11 days. I will get back from camp on the 19th, and my little brothers birthday party is the 20th. On the 22nd I am leaving for the beach with my friend, and we will get back on the 27th. After that I will be heading over to Pigeon Forge a few times before school starts on August 17th. And then Summer is over! Isn't that something to think about...

Needless to say I have some pre-written posts for the rest of this month, which is why I might seem distant or detached. I am very sorry about that though! I will try to put up a few more Summer Days Blog posts before school starts back, but if I had to bet, you all are tired of hearing about my life for a while. And I don't blame you! :)

We will get back into the swing of things with a "Homemade Beauty" post on Friday. But in the mean time, have a happy and safe 4th of July and remember that I love all of you! :)

Ipsy: June

My June Ipsy bag! Probably my least favorite part of this bag... was the actual bag. It's quite ugly, but the products are good for the most part! This Be a Bombshell lipgloss in Secret is ok… It’s a nice brand, so I’m not mad at it, it just isn't my favorite. I put it on and it had almost a concealer like tint instead of the pretty pinky nude in the tube. I have used it since and if used with a lighter hand, it's ok. I love this Formula X nail polish by Sephora in Wingwoman! It is such a nice dark pink/red color, and it didn't chip! Do you know how hard it is to find a nail polish that doest chip on me? This Three Tone "Bronzer" by Crown Brush is ridiculous... It looks like little kids play makeup. It has a strip of bronze, a strip of pink, and one of a "highlight," and as soon as I took it out of he box the packaging fell apart. Apple Pie Cupcakes!

I recomend to read this recipe all the way through before beginning to bake. I multi-task, but you need to find the order that works the best for you! I will explain how I assemble and decorate them at the end! Cinnamon Cupcakes Ingredients: 1 cup milk 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature 2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 large eggs 1 3/4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line muffin tins with cupcake liners. Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Using a mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the eggs and sugar until thick ribbons form (about 5 minutes).
