Back into the Swing of Things :)

Well June was a busy and fun filled month :)

Since about halfway through May I have been posting all about packing and my trip to the beach, this past week or two I have even been posting every day! Well I am about ready to get back to normal, aren't you?

Last week our church had Bible school every evening. I have been working with our counties Children's Librarian almost every morning through the past two weeks, and I will be continuing through next week. I am going to be leaving for a church camp in about 11 days. I will get back from camp on the 19th, and my little brothers birthday party is the 20th. On the 22nd I am leaving for the beach with my friend, and we will get back on the 27th. After that I will be heading over to Pigeon Forge a few times before school starts on August 17th. And then Summer is over! Isn't that something to think about...

Needless to say I have some pre-written posts for the rest of this month, which is why I might seem distant or detached. I am very sorry about that though! I will try to put up a few more Summer Days Blog posts before school starts back, but if I had to bet, you all are tired of hearing about my life for a while. And I don't blame you! :)

We will get back into the swing of things with a "Homemade Beauty" post on Friday. But in the mean time, have a happy and safe 4th of July and remember that I love all of you! :)

Ipsy: June

My June Ipsy bag! Probably my least favorite part of this bag... was the actual bag. It's quite ugly, but the products are good for the most part! This Be a Bombshell lipgloss in Secret is ok… It’s a nice brand, so I’m not mad at it, it just isn't my favorite. I put it on and it had almost a concealer like tint instead of the pretty pinky nude in the tube. I have used it since and if used with a lighter hand, it's ok. I love this Formula X nail polish by Sephora in Wingwoman! It is such a nice dark pink/red color, and it didn't chip! Do you know how hard it is to find a nail polish that doest chip on me? This Three Tone "Bronzer" by Crown Brush is ridiculous... It looks like little kids play makeup. It has a strip of bronze, a strip of pink, and one of a "highlight," and as soon as I took it out of he box the packaging fell apart. I didn't even bother trying it, I just listed it on a swap website. But t...

Apartment Tour + Fall Decor!

It's coming a bit late, because by this point I have Christmas decor up, but why not? It isn't December yet, and I loved my fall decor and wanted to show it off! Entrance and "Dining Room" We did our best to section off the living room/dining room/kitchen area so it had a house feel that trashy college apartment. We also tried to add all the things we could to make it feel more bright and homey since only one piece of furniture in here is actually ours! The rest was provided for us. So for the dining are my roommate who replaced her desk chair with a comfy version brought out her chair so we could have 5 seats. We then added cute placemats which stay out year round For fall decor I added the glittery leaf centerpiece and a few candles, as well as the wine bottles! VoxBox: Tressemé Beauty-Full Volume

I know I don't usually post at 9 o'clock on Monday nights, but I wanted to go ahead and get this out to you all while I had time, because... I got another VoxBox! This one was the Tresemmé Reverse Your Routine box with a full sized shampoo and conditioner. This is a Volumizing system, and is reffered to as "Reverse Your Routine" because you conditioner before you shampoo... Weird right? I have to say I was a little confused and skeptical at first. The concept is that when you put conditioner in your hair and rinse then residue is left on weighing down your hair. My thoughts were that the residue left were the moisturizing properties and that you wouldn't want to rid yourself of all of them... It just seemed a little pointless. I have been using this combination periodically for a few weeks now, and surprisingly I actually really like it! When I get out of the shower my hair does feel much lighter than usual.
