Three Ways to Christmas Shop on the Cheap

Christmas shopping is something a lot of us tend to put off until the last second, and then are scrambling the week before Christmas to buy things just because you feel like you have to.  You end up buying something, at exorbitant obnoxious prices, that you know the person you are buying for won’t even like!

I came up with a few ways you can get awesome presents, not have to kill yourself trying to get them at the last minute, and not break the bank...

  1. My first suggestion, is to shop in advance! I know, this seems super simple, but you wouldn't believe the difference it makes to start a couple months in advance, and just buy things you know the person would like as you see them.  This year, I stopped in an antique shop on my way to work one day, just to look around.  I ended up leaving with this gorgeous bowl, mug, and tea set with I am planning to give to family members, and because the place was about to close down, I got them for half off the original price!
  2. That leads me right into my next suggestion, shop sales and discount shops, and don't be afraid to use coupons!  Ross and TJ-Maxx are two of my favorite store to shop at, and Christmas is no exception!  You can get very nice gifts, at much cheaper prices.  This year I found this canvas poster from the Batman moves, that is so tall it comes up past my hips.  That is like, three feet tall!  It is really awesome looking, and when Christmas comes and Maze and I exchange presents, I'll be ready!  Oh, and as crazy as it may be, give black Friday shopping a chance! I'm not saying go get in fist fights and pepper spray people, but take advantage of those sales while you have the chance.
  3. Similarly to shopping discount stores, I am all about those discount apps!  Ever heard of There is a website as well, but I prefer the app.  It gathers all of the cute (and usually monogrammed!) deals from all over the internet, and shows you the best ones each day.  If you like the item, you better get it though, because the deals usually only last about three days!  Similarly, apps/websites like and never cease to amaze me.  I have been all about Groupon lately, because you can buy awesome experiences (like massages and Fun Depot trips) at crazy discounts!  Everyone will love you at Christmas if you buy them spa packages!  Finally, we can't forget, which always has amazing coupons.

Those are my top three tips for Christmas shopping early, and as cheap and nice as possible!  I love giving gifts, so I don't skimp on the quality, but I am also a broke college student, so I value a good deal!

College Countdown: Dorm Tour

I think I finally got my side of my dorm to look how I want it to this year, and I am absolutely thrilled with it!

I chose the colors yellow and grey, which isn't what I'd usually pick, but I've been thrilled with the way it turned out!  I'm not going to mention where every little thing is from, if you want more information on that you can check out my Dorm HaulI posted earlier this week, but I will do my best to hit he highlights!
First I will start off with my desk area.  From right to left I keep my makeup in the drawers I DIYed, my makeup mirror from Amazon, my desk organizer filled with legitimate desk things, as well as more makeup and makeup brushes, my tea station with my chip mug and honey, my textbooks, and finally my sticky notes and Ray Bans!
The wall above my desk I turned into sort of a gallery wall!  It has been a process to get all of this up, because anything even semi heavy continues to fall down!  From top to bottom: I picked up the canvases at a bi…

My Petal Club

A new box!  And a PERIOD subscription box at that!  I love finding new boxes to try out, especially when they are this affordable!  This box is normally $6.99 per month, but if you use the discount code "SUMMER" on, this box will be only $3.50!  And let's be honest, one box of pads/tampons is usually more expensive than that, so why not give it a try??

So this box primarily consists of just the period products with very few extras.  This isn't one of the present, feel-good kind of boxes, it just provides you with the necessary products to get through the month, at an affordable price.
Step One The first thing you do on their website is choose the combination of products you will need.  Be warned, you aren't given as much of a selection if you order through Cratejoy like I did.  It worked totally fine and I still got the products I needed, but I like choice!  So I suggest going straight through their website.  You are going to get 30 products total…

SprezzaBox: September + Bonus Box!

You all may remember that I ordered a Sprezza box last year around this time of the year as a present for my boy.  If you want to see that box you can find it here!  I was amazed then, and then I ordered these and have been even more impressed!  These boxes are full of really nice quality products for men, and I love that there is a subscription company catering to the men in our lives and trying to make them dress better. When I ordered they were doing a promotion, which was the current box and a past box for $20.  I'm not sure if it is still active, but I used the code "BONUSBOX20" so you all can give it a shot!

The September box theme was "The Perry" with classic patterns, but heavier fabrics and darker colors for fall.

This box included: Bryt Dress Socks - $11.66FRESHeTech Earbuds - $29.95Peter Daniel Leather Bracelet - $10Sprezza Pocket Square - $18English Laundry Oxford Bleu Cologne - They said this small bottle was worth $20, but the full size 1.7 oz is …
