November Ipsy

It was a galaxy bag this month!
I'm not sure what I could really do with this one, but it is so cute!

As far as the actual contents of the bag, I really liked it!  I feel like each moth they are getting better.  There is less and less stuff that I'm not crazy about, and more and more high end.  This was an expensive bag!

The first thing I pulled out was this lip pencil.  I hadn't ever heard of this brand before, but the full size is $28.  It is a really nice matte color, and I've really enjoyed using it!

I was excited about this high end mechanical eyeliner (in black, "wild child"), that retails for $14.  Upon using it, I was pretty disappointed because it was dark at all!  It looked much more grey on than black.

I wasn't exactly excited when I saw this, but it has probably turned out to be my favorite in the whole bag!  It is a mattefying, but also is really moisturizing and feels very nice on the skin.  I have had very dry skin lately, and I've been using it every morning before I apply my makeup.  This moisturizer is full size, and normally retails for $19.95!

This is China Glaze Nail Polish in Techno, which goes on Amazon for $8.  I have actually not had a reason to have sparkly nails this month, so I haven't tried it yet, but it is gorgeous!  I can't wait to wear it with red this Christmas!

Finally, I got the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara.  A full size retails for $20!  I'd heard a lot about this and was super excited to try it... I have to say, I was disappointed!  It looks amazing on, but it runs down my face like no other!  Besides that, it creates really full long lashes, just don't wear it when you need long lasting makeup!

Overall, it was by far one of my favorite bags!

If you would like one of these, follow this link to their website and set up a subscription for yourself for only $10 a month!

My Everyday/Travel Makeup Bag

So as I was putting together the list for makeup bag that I will have with me in the car when I go on my trip to the beach this summer, I decided that you might want to know exactly what's in there and why I bring them :) The first thing I going to show you is this awesome pallet I found in a discount makeup store: It is a "Sweet by Day, Sexy by Night" pallet. On one side it has a dark brown and a champagne shade eye shadow, a light and a dark shade of bronzer, a light and dark brown shade of lipgloss, and two small applicators. On the other it has a light shade of pink and an almost purple eye shadow, a light and dark shade of blush, a light and dark shade of pink lipgloss, and two small applicators. You can buy it at www.amazon.com/day-to-night for $5. I thought this was the most simple way to pack all that i would need! Next I'm going to show you the face products I am bringing: They are: The Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder The ELF Aloe Infus...

Winter As a College Student

Let me just tell you, there isn't a thing in the world fun about a dorm room in the winter!  On the happen chance that yours is as old as mine (pre-1960s, thank you very much) you probably have radiators too, which personally, I have very little control over.  Even on the off setting they exude so much heat that the room is stifling!  And then you open the window and snow starts blowing in... Yay Appalachian Mountains! Let's just all agree that is quite a process.  So what is one to do to combat these cold (and getting colder!) temperatures? First, I've got two B's for you (mostly because I couldn't come up with a third...)  Blankets and Bedwarmers! Let's face it, dorm rooms are tiny and your bed is the focus of the majority of decor, as well as where you will be spending a large portion of your time (yay Netflix binges!) so you need to make sure it is super cozy! Personally, I have my sheets and comforter that I sleep under every night.  ...

VoxBox: Tressemé Beauty-Full Volume

I know I don't usually post at 9 o'clock on Monday nights, but I wanted to go ahead and get this out to you all while I had time, because... I got another VoxBox! This one was the Tresemmé Reverse Your Routine box with a full sized shampoo and conditioner. This is a Volumizing system, and is reffered to as "Reverse Your Routine" because you conditioner before you shampoo... Weird right?  I have to say I was a little confused and skeptical at first. The concept is that when you put conditioner in your hair and rinse then residue is left on weighing down your hair.  My thoughts were that the residue left were the moisturizing properties and that you wouldn't want to rid yourself of all of them... It just seemed a little pointless. I have been using this combination periodically for a few weeks now, and surprisingly I actually really like it!  When I get out of the shower my hair does feel much lighter than usual.  Though it is hard to tell if I have...
