January Love With Food Subscription Box

(Stay tuned for a special Valentine's giveaway towards the end of this post!)

So after searching around on My Subscription Addiction for a subscription box to try out for free or on the cheap to see if I liked it, I found this Love with Food box! They had a promotion going where the first month was free (except for shipping), so for all of this I paid $2!

The first thing I found upon opening my box was this pamphlet giving a description of all of the products inside! Isn't it cute??
It says... "What does 2015 have in store? All good things! While now's the time for New Year's Resolutions and looking foreword, give yourself a little love for what you have already achieved. With the purchase of this box, you helped to feed a hungry child. If that's not a great way to start off the New Year, we're not sure what is!"

And this was what I saw after moving all of the paper...

The first thing on top was Breakfast in Paris Black Tea by Stash
"Ideal for that sleepy Sunday Morning, steep yourself a warm cup with notes of lavender an d bergamot and melt into your comfy couch"
Gluten free, Vegan
Dark Chocolate Cacao Nibs by Britt
"Straight from the Costa Rican rainforest, pop a few at a time and these bittersweet little babies will get you fired up for a fresh start!"

Review: I don't normally like dark chocolate, but these were pretty good! I liked them until I realized this tiny package is supposed to be 2.5 servings!!
Velvet Truffeles by Alter Eco
"Made with pure Peruvian chocolate, this sweet little treat is 99.97% organic, 81% fair trade certified ingredients and 100% to die for!"
Non-GMO, Gluten free, Organic

Review: Better than Lindor Truffles! They were creamy, melt upon contact amazing
 In-Shell Almonds by Bobalu
"Move over pistachios. In-shell almonds are taking over your game! Crunchy, fun and full of protein, looks like someone's got a makeover for 2015"
Vegan, Gluten free

Not a fan of Almonds... gave them to my mom!
Chocolate Dipped Coconut Mini by Luna
"Looking for a little bar to get you through your big workout? Packed with all the right stuff to keep you going, you'll go (coco)nuts for this one!"
Gluten free

I would really like to try Luna bars, I just don't much like Coconut, and this is mom's favorite one, so she got it :)
Cassava Pops by Wai Lana
"At only about 100 calories per bag, these popped-not fried or baked-pups offer all the flavor of typical chips with a fraction of the fat."
Gluten free, Non-GMO, Vegan

Santa Fe Salsa Somersaults by Somersault Snack Company
"If seeds and grains are your new thing, you'll go head over heals for these tasty morsels."
Non-GMO

Review: These were my favorite thing in the box!! They were big pieces full of sunflower seeds, and they were spicy, though I do wish a few more came in a pack!
Energy Kettle Cooked Apples by Big Slice
"A simple delectable way to get your 5-a-day, eat a pouch on your way to yoga and say bye-bye to those extra holiday lbs."
Non-GMO, Gluten free

Review: To tell the truth, these kind of terrified me at first! They are Green Coffee Raspberry Hibiscus flavor, and pink... but they actually taste very good :)
And at the very bottom on the box were all these papers, coupons, and TWO gift cards!  A $40 Hello Fresh (a subscription box with all of the components for a meal) and a $15 Urban Remedy credit (towards $50).

So I had an idea... How about an early Valentine's giveaway???

This Giveaway will include:
$40 Hello Fresh gift card
$15 off $50 Urban Remedy gift card
25% off Cafe Britt
25% off Big Slice apples
$5 off $20 at Stashtea.com
$0.60 Stash Tea in store coupon
20% off Cinnful Sweet Heat Tortilla Chips by Chips Happen
$5 off a Love With Food Subscription
Lindor Truffles!! (because I couldn't let it all be healthy)
And finally, a Valentine's Day surprise!

To enter, subscribe to this blog, and write a quick comment on this post telling me you subscribed! It's that simple!

So in conclusion, I greatly enjoyed 5/8 products, am still inquisitive about the tea, and gave the other two products to my mom! Besides that, I received enough gift cards and coupons to pay for the original price of the box by themselves!
Guys, I think I'm gonna keep it!!

Fragrant Jewels: Shipment One

So I decided to try a new Subscription Box... Remember when that was all I did??  I'm sure most of you have heard of the company Fragrant Jewels.  They create candles, bath bombs, and other fun products, all with rings hidden inside! The first box I received was a present for a friend, and I liked hers so much I decided to try it out as well!  I really wanted a candle though, and sadly this box didn't contain one.  But regardless, this is the Sweet Retreat collection.  The scent is described as "Cool Marine Breeze, Fresh Lavender, and Soothing Chamomile."  It is a bit to floral and fragrant to be especially soothing, but it is very nice and bright for spring. The first item in the box were mini bath bombs.  I actually prefer this size of bath bombs to the big ones!  I was, however, afraid that since they were mini that this product wouldn't come with a ring, which kind of defeats the purpose of Fragrant "Jewels" doesn't it?  But no...

Thanksgiving Outfits!

Usually on Thanks giving I end up wearing a t-shirt and jeans because I have been cooking all day, and because it is just my family! I mean who am I trying to impress! ;) But this year I want it to be different! I want the world to change for the better and to... wait, no no that is a different speech ;) I want to look cute this year, is that to much to ask?? I found all of these pictures on Pinterest. If you would like to see more like them (or just really want to be nice!) you can click here to go follow me! Dressy So if you have to go out somewhere with your family, or are required to dress up (more that normal at least) then I thought this would be a good outfit for you! A basic white scoop or v-neck T-shirt, a dark blue pleated skirt with a brown belt around your waist, and matching brown cutout flats. The huge tote bag and sunglasses are most definitely optional! You are dressed up more than you normally would be, but still keeping it kind of casu...

Planner and Decor Haul

So, I have done some (meaning way too much) shopping recently, and I thought it might be fun to let you all in on some of the purchases I have made that are slightly atypical for me!  Usually when I shop I am focused on buying obnoxious amounts of clothing and makeup which I most certainly do not need.  Instead, I have recently been purchasing obnoxious amounts of room decor and planner accessories, that I also do not need! Along with the clothing and makeup... Good trade off right? Target The first store I hit up (twice actually) was Target.  You guys, that dollar section at the front of the store gets me every time! It is like a vortex that slowly sucks you in until you are buying fairy wands and bowls with straws and believing that these things have completely legitimate purposes! A bought quite a few things from that dollar section on this trip, including: Chevron Burlap ribbon, a bronze cut out candle holder, a metal bucket, and pol...
