Country Concert Lookbook

Early this fall I will be going to a Brad Paisley AND an Avett Brothers concert!  So when I found out King Ranch Saddle Shop was looking for inspiration when it comes to country style I had to share my ideas!  It is the dog days of summer, with hot days and cool nights here in the mountains, so I tried to create looks to fit all weather and styles!

Sassy
For the budding flower child who needs to show a bit of a wilder side and have fun for the night!   This is a crop top and basic jean shorts, which could be subbed for light wash ripped skinnies if the venue is going to be cooler (which is actually what I wore to a Flogging Molly concert last fall!).
Crop Top: American Eagle
Shorts: Hollister
Flower Crown: Claire's

Sweet
This is for the sweet girly girl who still want to show their country side.  It is a simple white lace top dress, to which I have added a red flannel for those cool Summer nights.  The flannel could be tied around your waist during the day, or substituted for a denim vest if you don't think it will be too chilly!
Dress: American Eagle

Flannel: Rue 21

Country
When better to go all out country than a Brad Paisley concert??  When else would it be appropriate to wear daisy overalls and boots?  To tone down the country look just a bit I added an off the shoulder shirt, which draws the eye up.
Overalls: Walmart believe it or not!
Shirt: American Eagle

Boots
The only thing I didn't mention throughout the post is the most essential part of your country concer get up... The boots!  Mine are from an obscure discount store in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, and though I have gotten a good five years out of them, truthfully they are beginning to look a little rough...  I am really lusting after some of the cowgirl boots from the King Ranch Saddle Shop website.  Cute and well made, those are your goals when buying boots!
And don't worry guys, they have some cowboy boots for you as well that would look amazing paired with a flannel, jeans and a white tee shirt!

See the writing on the bottom of my boots?  I may have stolen this idea from Pinterest... It is a list of concerts the boots have been worn to, like a walking ticket stub!  But on the picture they had they only listed the country concerts they'd been to, and I chose to add the Folk and Irish as well!  I also went ahead and added my Brad Paisley and Avett Brothers concert coming up this Fall so you all could get a good idea of what this DIY looks like.  I thought this was a pretty cool idea and love that I can just use the bottom of my boot as a reference!

Let me know if you all have any concerts coming up or if you use any of theses ideas, and have a wonderful end of summer!

Outer Banks 2013: Day 8, Friday June 14th

9:00 AM Just woke up... and ate more Krispy Kreme Doughnuts ;)  Breakfast isn't a fun meal to talk about, it is the same everyday! Well today is our last day in Emerald Isle... After this we are going to a few other places, but this is our last actual beach day...which is kind of sad 1:00 PM Well, to make my little brother happy we made a deal with him that we would go to the pool first this morning. We ended up staying at the pool until lunch because it didn't make any sense to walk all the way down to the beach to just walk back an hour later! So we swam and floated around on the pool all morning :) 7:00 PM We wanted to stay out at the beach as long as possible today, so we stayed out until now! I wrote my name in the sand :) Summer 2013 Look at this awesome sandcastle we found!! I am going to stay in this house one day... It looks like a Barbie House! And if that is Barbie's House, then this has to be Ken's...

Nadine West: Third Shipment

Another Nadine West bag!  This is such a fun little bag, and I have really looked forward to every one thus far! These are the Simple Sparkles "diamond" stud earrings.  Though these are very cute and I actually kinda wanted to keep them, I have too many pair that are too similar.  These did retail for $6.49 though, which is suuuuper reasonable. This is the Make a Wish necklace.  I wanted to like this based off of the name, but it just really isn't my style!  I don't feel like I can pull off a crown necklace/princess persona...  But anyway, this retails for $17.99, which I feel is a bit much for cheap jewelry. This is the Constance top.  It is like a baby pink chevron cami, and I wasn't into this really.  I have enough camis, and am not really into printed ones, so this just wasn't my style.  This retailed for $9.49, which isn't too bad Fianlly, we have the Zipped floral romper, and as you might have guessed it has a zipp...

Degusta Box: October

I hadn't ever heard of this subscription box until I received an email about a promotion they were having.  This is a $19.99 subscription box, but they were offering a special discount for $6.99 plus two free gifts!  I figured, why not give it a try? It came in a HUGE heavy box!  Inside it was wrapped with a cute little sticker, and everything even moderately breakable was packaged in bubble wrap.  I was immediately impressed.   I thought I'd show the two sweet little extra gifts they sent me first... You can't tell as much in this picture, but this is a quite large bag of mini cow tales!  They also sent me a bag of Haribo sour gummy bears.  I am not a big Haribo fan, but these seem similar to Sour Patch Kids, which I love, so maybe they will be good!  I can't really complain too much anyway since they were a free gift with the box!  And candy! Perfect for Halloween. Now let's get into the actual products in th...
