Homemade Beauty... Aspirin Mask

Because Aspirin is used as an anti-inflammatory, it can also be used to reduce redness on the skin. Bonus? It can also reduce pimple size and rid your face of black heads!

 You Will Need:
5-8 Crushed Uncoated Aspirin
A few drops of water

 Directions:
Add only enough water to make a paste. Smooth over the skin and leave on up to 15 minutes. You can use up to twice a week but overuse can irritate, dull, or dry out your skin.

Be Mine... Kissable Lip Routine

I thought this was a kind of unique post, but also a great way to kick off Beach Babe's Be Maine Valentine's Day Series! I mean, you can't have a Valentines Day without soft kissable lips! Even if you don't have a Valentine this year, you don't want to be caught by surprise! ;) First thing i do (and the very first thing you all should do!) is start out by exfoliating your lips! Before I use a Lip Scrub, I run warm water over a washcloth, wring it out, and rub my lips with this. Next I take a lip scrub (if you would like to know what I use check out this link here, but any kind you prefer will work). I use the washcloth on my lips first so that they will be more open to absorb the benefits of the Scrub. Lastly, I apply some of the lip scrub to a clean toothbrush and use this on my lips. Grab the washcloth once again and wipe the scrub and crystals away! :) The next thing you should do in your kissable lips routine, is apply a lip balm. My favorites are the eos...

College Countdown: College Rambles

So… I move in tomorrow.  We have been in Disney for almost two weeks, and I never thought I’d be ready to leave Disney but I actually really was.  It is Thursday morning right now, and we won’t be home until late tonight.  After that I have a ton of packing left to do, along with visiting grandparents.  My move in time is between1:00 and 4:00… though I am beginning to highly doubt that I’ll actually make that time! To tell the truth, I wasn’t the least bit sad until the song “I Loved Her First” by Heartland just came on the radio.  It was talking about a dad giving his daughter away at her wedding, but how a small part of her will always be his.  I am in the car with my mom, dad, and brother, and my mom and I both just started crying… It was so sad!
