January Nibblr Subscription Box

So after searching around on My Subscription Addiction for a subscription box to try out for free or on the cheap to see if I liked it, I found this Nibblr box from the Pillsbury company!

Upon opening my box, I found a tray of four, healthy, portion controlled snacks. Each month they send you four snacks at random, until you begin to personalize your account.  You can personalize your account by selecting "Love it, Like it, Interested, or No Thanks".  All snacks begin marked "Interested", and after trying them you may mark them otherwise.  They will then try to send snacks marked "Love it" and "Like it" more often, and avoid sending the ones marked "No Thanks".

The first snack on my try was "PB Graham"

It is described as "peanuts, peanut wafers, and graham cookies snack mix", and falls into the "Feel Good Sweets" category.

Just a note, Nibblr CAN NOT cater to food allergies, and from what I have gathered they send quite a few nut products.

Review: This has officially changed my opinion of peanuts, I really did not think I liked them until now! I also wasn't sure what it meant by "peanut wafer", but it turned out to be a big salty peanut butter chip, which works for me! Loved this one!
This was also definitely enough for 2 servings, for me at least
The second snack in my tray was "Red, White, and Boom!"

It is described as "shortbread cookies, blueberries, and raspberries snack mix" and also falls into the "Feel Good Sweets" category.

Review: I loved this one too! I am not usually a fan of just plain shortbread cookies, but combined with the freeze dried raspberries and blueberries it was great! I preferred the raspberries greatly to the blueberries, and have since been searching for them to buy individually!
This one was enough for two servings as well.
The third snack in my tray was "Nice & Naughty"

It is described as "sea salt caramel truffles and hazelnuts snack mix" and, once again, falls into the "Feel Good Sweets" category.

Review: Though I really enjoyed the sea salt chocolate caramel chocolate truffles (obviously!) I wasn't crazy over the Hazelnuts.  I ate about half of them trying to like them, and then just gave up, this is just a personal preference though!
This snack was only about one serving.
The final snack on my tray was "Fa-la-la Licious"

It is described as "cranberries, almonds, and pistachios snack mix", and falls into the "fruit and nut" category.

Review: Nope, nuh uh, I don't do nuts.  After the peanuts were good, and the hazelnuts were tolerable, I decided to try the almonds and pistachios, and was NOT a fan... but that is just a personal preference.

So in conclusion, it was a really nice box, and cool treat, but I'm not sure if I will be keeping it.  At $6 a box, the snacks are about the same price individually as vending machine food, but I tend to pack my own snacks instead of resorting to a vending machine so it isn't exactly sensible for me.  Though I have no complaints and might come back and try it at a later date, I am pausing my subscription for now.

Sunburn Relief

Even when you wear sunscreen, sometimes the inevitable happens and you get the dreaded sunburn... So what should you do? I have a few suggestions of the best way to be as comfortable as possible while you recover! 1.) Pain Reliever First things first, as soon as you discover your sunburn head to the medicine cabinet and take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as Ibuprofen or Advil. These are anti-inflammatory medications which will help to reduce swelling and pressure from the sunburn, which will relive  some of the pain. 2.) Hydrate The second most helpful thing you can possibly do is drink water! The sun has sucked all of the moisture from your skin, and it is literally  begging for you to replenish it. Try to drink just water, since it is better for you and more hydrating than juice or sodas. 3.) Take a Bath Try to limit yourself to no more that 30 minutes, but that thirty minutes can do wonders for your...
