Let's Talk...

I feel so bad, I have been such a flake with posting recently and the past month is when I should have been really focused on getting out content, because....
My summer classes started this week.
And they are intense.
Like, more so than I expected and I'm only a week in.

Also, I just got my Summer schedule for the daycare I work at, and instead of my normal 9:30-5:30, I was switched to
6:00-12:30...
That is a huge difference, I've never gotten up that early in my life!  It is a lot better in some ways because I now have my full days free, but it's a difficult sleep schedule to get used to.

As a result, I've been spending my mornings at work, and my evenings doing homework, or attempting to have a social life...
This is my last Summer before college after all, so I want to have fun!  But it just makes things more difficult when I need to be in bed early for work, balance homework, and then there is this blog.

I love having this creative outlet, and I'm not ready to give it up, but at the same time feeling the pressure of having to post of Wednesday and Saturday makes me not want to do it, as you all have seen...
I'm sorry about that.

So for this Summer, I think I am going to go back to only posting on Saturday, and save up any other posts that I have time to write until I'm in college and even busier!
This isn't exactly a solution I like, because I have tons of ideas I want to get out there!  But actually getting the posts onto "paper," so to speak, is my real issue...
So let's try this for a little while and see how it works!

As for the remainder of the summer?
My classes and job end on July 29th, and we leave for Disney on the 31st!! In between now and then I have some family issues to be taken care of, Bible School to teach, weddings/parties to attend and plan, my brother's birthday, and hopefully a beach trip!  Finally, I will be moving in at Appalachian on August 12th!
So a busy Summer to say the least.
But as a result of this busy-ness, I have some pretty cool post ideas!

I plan to do:
  • Love With Food and Ipsy throwbacks that I've missed,
  • My new Graze subscription I'm going to start in college,
  • I have another exciting VoxBox (or two) on the way,
  • Long overdue empties,
  • Whats in my Beach Bag,
  • A seven day college countdown (including packing!),
  • Hopefully a new Disney packing series,
  • And, OF COURSE my day by day Disney blogs!
I'm going to work hard and do my best to get these out in a timely manner, but please, hang in there with me!

I love you all, and I can't thank you enough for hanging in there with me, so this is goodbye to Wednesdays for now, but it is no where near goodbye!

My Everyday/Travel Makeup Bag

So as I was putting together the list for makeup bag that I will have with me in the car when I go on my trip to the beach this summer, I decided that you might want to know exactly what's in there and why I bring them :) The first thing I going to show you is this awesome pallet I found in a discount makeup store: It is a "Sweet by Day, Sexy by Night" pallet. On one side it has a dark brown and a champagne shade eye shadow, a light and a dark shade of bronzer, a light and dark brown shade of lipgloss, and two small applicators. On the other it has a light shade of pink and an almost purple eye shadow, a light and dark shade of blush, a light and dark shade of pink lipgloss, and two small applicators. You can buy it at www.amazon.com/day-to-night for $5. I thought this was the most simple way to pack all that i would need! Next I'm going to show you the face products I am bringing: They are: The Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder The ELF Aloe Infus...

Winter As a College Student

Let me just tell you, there isn't a thing in the world fun about a dorm room in the winter!  On the happen chance that yours is as old as mine (pre-1960s, thank you very much) you probably have radiators too, which personally, I have very little control over.  Even on the off setting they exude so much heat that the room is stifling!  And then you open the window and snow starts blowing in... Yay Appalachian Mountains! Let's just all agree that is quite a process.  So what is one to do to combat these cold (and getting colder!) temperatures? First, I've got two B's for you (mostly because I couldn't come up with a third...)  Blankets and Bedwarmers! Let's face it, dorm rooms are tiny and your bed is the focus of the majority of decor, as well as where you will be spending a large portion of your time (yay Netflix binges!) so you need to make sure it is super cozy! Personally, I have my sheets and comforter that I sleep under every night.  ...

VoxBox: Tressemé Beauty-Full Volume

I know I don't usually post at 9 o'clock on Monday nights, but I wanted to go ahead and get this out to you all while I had time, because... I got another VoxBox! This one was the Tresemmé Reverse Your Routine box with a full sized shampoo and conditioner. This is a Volumizing system, and is reffered to as "Reverse Your Routine" because you conditioner before you shampoo... Weird right?  I have to say I was a little confused and skeptical at first. The concept is that when you put conditioner in your hair and rinse then residue is left on weighing down your hair.  My thoughts were that the residue left were the moisturizing properties and that you wouldn't want to rid yourself of all of them... It just seemed a little pointless. I have been using this combination periodically for a few weeks now, and surprisingly I actually really like it!  When I get out of the shower my hair does feel much lighter than usual.  Though it is hard to tell if I have...
