Dirty Myrtle 2017: Days 4 and 5

Day 4
11:40
Well… I can't really say good morning now can I? We slept in today and then I had a super exciting breakfast of pop tarts! Now we are just sitting on the beach, which will basically be the extent of our day!

1:30
We decided to go in for lunch about 1:30, but we just had leftovers, nothing too exciting! But tonight we are going to a place called Art Burger and Sushi Bar, and I am kind of crazy excited! Until then we will just be chilling on the beach and in the lazy river (that isn't ours) 😅

7:50
Made it to dinner!

My outfit: Shirt is from American Eagle, shorts are from Target, and bracelets are Alex and Ani

Kaitlyn's outfit: Her shirt is from Old Navy and  shorts are from Target!
Check out how cute these menus are?

We ordered The Dahli burger, which had fried pickles and avocado ranch on it, a shrimp tempura roll, and a fried chicken roll with mac and cheese and BBQ sauce! It is insanely good, and honestly not that expensive!

8:30
Dinner was amazing… Like, I can't even express how good the burger was. We solidified the concept that I am totally not a Sushi person, but it was worth trying! Now we are going to walk "the strip" for a bit until the time runs out on our parking spot.
We found a huge candy store!

10:30
We actually stayed out kind of late! Well… late for us 😂 We got back around 10:00 after driving "the strip" and then taking the scenic route along the beach looking at all the pretty houses we'll never afford!

Now… it's bedtime.

Day 5
10:15
Good morning everyone! I am totally fried… my back, my legs, parts of my chest…. It is rough. I have put everything humanly possible trying to take the sting out and keep it from peeling, so I guess we'll see!

This morning we aren't eating breakfast, we are going to have an early lunch at the new Paula Deen restaurant they just put in at Broadway at the Beach

11:20
Off to lunch!

My outfit: Top is from a boutique Spruced in my hometown, but you can find them online! Shorts are American Eagle, shoes are Sanuks, and bracelets are Alex and Ani.

Kaitlyn's outfit: Her shirt is from Target, shorts are JC Penny, and shoes are strappy sandals from Shoe Carnival!

This is just the best restaurant ever!  We have been a few times for breakfast, but never for lunch!

Can you see how happy we are with just our cornbread and blueberry lemonade?  We don't even have food yet!

12:35
I am beyond stuffed…

We had Chicken Pot Pie, Pork Chops, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes , creamed corn, and candied yams!

Now we are going to do a little shopping at Broadway at the Beach, let's see what we can find!

...We found tigers!

2:30
I couldn't hang guys… it's two hours later and I am still miserably full from lunch! So we decided to head back to the condo for a bit and chill before we continue our shopping endeavors.

4:00
Feeling slightly better and ready to hit Tanger Outlets! I have a feeling we will be doing some major damage here…

7:15
Dinner at Dick's Last Resort!

I am having BBQ nachos and they are awesome! (And I am finally able to eat again…)

If you've never heard of this place before, it's admittedly a bit odd. Everyone there is mean to you, you hey throw things at you, call you names, make dirty jokes, write mean things on a hat for you to wear, and just generally be a "dick" to you!

I don't really get why we pay and tip for this, but it's pretty entertaining, and our waiter was a cutie.

We left Tangers around 6ish, and then have just been at the little beachy shops at Barefoot Landing ever since!

11:00
Look at us! Being big girls and staying up "late"!

After Dick's we did a little more shopping and got some ice cream, got a little lost coming back to the condo, and then have just been hanging out ever since! So on that note, goodnight ladies!

Homemade Beauty: Ice Facial

It may not sound very pleasant, but running an ice cube over your face has a ton of benefits for your skin! They will help to smooth your complexion by combating fat cells, easing wrinkles, fighting acne, and promoting blood circulation that will help heal past blemishes!  Be sure to  wrap the cubes  in a paper towel, or a baggie  because applying them directly to your skin can cause delicate blood vessels to break For an added  benefits to this  treatment, try freezing your cubes with watermelon, lemon, or rose!

Homemade Beauty... Banana Sugar Body Scrub

You will need... 1 ripe banana 3 tablespoons granulated sugar ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract or your favorite essential oil (optional) Smash ingredients together with a fork into a chunky goop, but don't over-mash or it will become too thin to use. If you want a banana scrub for your face, reserve some of the banana and mash it separately without sugar. In the shower, pat the sugar mixture and gently massage over your body. For your face, gently massage plain banana there, avoiding the eye area. Rinse off with warm water. Credit to  http://www.treehugger.com/organic-beauty/8-homemade-salt-and-sugar-body-scrubs.html

Clutch Essentials

It is Prom season!  I have been out of school for two years now so Prom isn't exactly a relevant thing for me anymore, but I miss it...  The picking out a dress and getting ready... I'd do that over and over and just skip the whole prom thing honestly!  It always seems like a mini wedding, and does it sound too self-centered to say I like the pictures and attention? Anyway, I was packing my clutch for my Valentine's Date and  I thought, why not make this more fun?  Here are my absolute clutch essentials for an important night out! Money and ID - You never know what kind of situation you could end up in where you are going to need actual cash instead of the oh so common card!  I always have cash with me just in case.  I also reccomend bringing your actual license instead of school ID, but I didn't want to show my license! Blotting Sheets - I have a real tendency to get shiny and if you have a night full of pictures ahead, that is not fla...
