DIY Melted Crayon Ornaments!

Supplies: Clear Glass Balls (mini or large!) Broken Crayons Knife or Vegetable Peeler Hairdryer Paper Plate Directions: Peel any paper off of the crayon, and begin to shave wax curls from the side of the crayon.  You can do this by pressing and sliding the knife or peeler along the crayon as you would chocolate while baking.  Make sure the curls fall onto the paper plate! Remove the top metal piece of the glass ornament.  Bend the plate to make a spout and pour the curls into the ornament.  I like to fill mine about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way full, but it is totally up to you to decide how full you would like the sides of the ornament to look! Reinsert the metal piece in the top of the ornament.  With the hairdryer on low to medium speed, begin to heat up the ornament.  Shake and rotate periodically to fully coat the inside.  Be careful, it gets very hot! Place a hook on the ring, hang on the tree, and thank me later!

December Date Box

Datebox is a subscription for primarily married couples, but it works for anyone with a significant other!  The point, is to get married couples to sit down once a moth, and have a date night to themselves. I had never heard of this subscription box before, until I was scrolling through my Instagram feed one day and saw someone promoting it, with a promo code! You all know how I can't resist good deals... This box is normally about $35 per month, plus $5 shipping... That is expensive. But I paid only the shipping! And that makes it fun! So as you could probably guess, this month was Christmas themed... Here is the look at the inside, and let it be known that I cleared out an abundance of bubblewrap before taking the picture, so it was well packaged! The first thing I pulled out was these two mugs that say "Baby it's cold outside" and "I've got your love to keep me warm," so sweet! And then they sent hot chocolate to go in th

Themed Presents: Movies

Though the other themed presents I have suggested were versatile, this one can be made completely your own!  It is perfect for the movie lover, and you can choose any movie you like! This was a present for my boyfriend for our first Christmas, and I chose Batman! Let's start with the basics... Popcorn Buckets - I bought one big one and two small ones to put in the back.  They are a little flimsy, but sturdier than a bag!  They are each from dollar tree for... well I think that is kind of obvious. Candy - The dollar boxes of movie candy (also from Dollar Tree!) are necessary for this present to give it that real movie feel. Popcorn -  You can't go to a movie without popcorn!  You can go very basic and get cheaper popcorn, or go for some crazy flavors (I currently have salted caramel in my pantry!), or be super simple and easy and buy them a bag of the really good already popped stuff. Now after you've got the basic staging of the presents has been done, it&

Birthday Trip Haul!

TJ-Maxx Black T-shirt - Just needed some basics! Baby Lips - Like I don't have enough of these already... But this is a new color! And it's Limited Edition! The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Skin Care Set - This set comes with toner, face wash, lotion, and pure tea tree oil.  It has great reviews, and I'd been wanting to try something like this for a while, so why not! Paper Straws - Because sales... Book with Ornament - This cute little picture book comes with an ornament that the child writes their name on, and then they press a button and it glows, so Santa can find them!  I thought I might give this a present, but then I decided it was cute and I wanted to keep it for when I have my own house and family one day (which I did a lot of during this trip...) Dry Shampoo - This is my favorite, and I've been out for a while, and it's much cheaper here. Hobby Lobby Tiaras - I know this seems odd, but I needed them for the Christmas play I am in Icing

Birthday Trip: Days 3 and 4

Day 3 8:05 So… I totally fell asleep last night without saying goodnight. But on the bright side, for as bad as I slept  night before last is how amazing last night was! Now we have to hurry and get ready so we can make it to breakfast at Paula Deen's! Today I am wearing: Flannel from Rue 21 Jeans from American Eagle Sperries Not sure about the scarf or headband... 9:45 Just arrived at Paula Deen's for breakfast! 10:50 I think I am dying… This is probably my favorite thing, and it isn't even technically one of our dishes! Yum Cinnamon rolls... We had chicken and waffles, eggs, bacon, hash brown casserole, bacon, bananas foster french toast, and biscuits and gravy! And look how pretty Mom's tea was! 12:00 Tangers time! 4:05 I am so done with shopping… But we did get cupcakes! We picked out a Christmas tree, cookie dough, classic cheesecake, and turtle. 5:25 Headed back into Dollywood! I haven'
