Black Friday Haul!

When I came home from Black Friday shopping, it made me sick to think about how much I had spent...
And then I organized what I had bought into piles, I actually hadn't bought that much for myself!  I had bought quite a few presents for people, and my family had me buying things for them since they weren't going shopping.  So I will even be paid back part of what I spent!
Maybe if I keep rationalizing it, I will start to actually believe it...

Walmart
Fuzzy Socks - These are literally my favorite things ever, they are so soft! These were about $5
Two Disney Story Books - I got a Bedtime stories book and a Christmas stories book, these were $6 each and I am going to save them for my kids of day to go with the set I already have!
Washcloths - You know, college prep! They were about $2
Sports Bra - Such a pretty color, and only $5!
Lotion - This wasn't on sale, but I've been wanting it a while, so why not! This was about $10

Belks
Necklace - This was so pretty and I've been looking for a new long necklace! This was $6.60

Ulta
It's a 10 - I was so excited, because this was actually free with any purchase, and is normally $17.96!!
Hand and Face Wipes - These were a dollar, and the only reason I even got them was so my friend could finish out her 5 for $5, but they smell good!

Rue 21
Layered Necklace - This is a gorgeous necklace that I got for only $2.79! Rue 21 jewelry isn't the best quality, but it's super cute!
North Carolina Necklace - This was one of the few things I bought all night that wasn't on sale, but I have been wanting one for a while and it was only $5.99.
Underooos! - They were on sale for either $1 or $2, but I'm not gonna show them...
"A" - Since when did Rue 21 get cute decor?? I got this cute wooden "A" for $1.20
Lights - I have been looking at these, but they aren't that long and aren't cheap for the quality they are.  They look like tiny dew drop lights on copper wire, and I found a set on sale for $3.20!
Pillowcases - One says "LO" and the other says "VE", cute right? They were only $2.40!

Ross
Jewelry Holder - Also not on sale, but super cute!! This was only $6.99
Basket for Lippies - My lip product have been overflowing, so I got an adorable new white basket to keep them in!

Overall it was a really fun trip, where we didn't get home until 4 in the morning!  I really love everything I bought for me, as well as the presents for other people!

Ipsy: June

My June Ipsy bag!   Probably my least favorite part of this bag... was the actual bag.  It's quite ugly, but the products are good for the most part! This Be a Bombshell lipgloss in Secret is ok… It’s a nice brand, so I’m not mad at it, it just isn't my favorite.  I put it on and it had almost a concealer like tint instead of the pretty pinky nude in the tube.  I have used it since and if used with a lighter hand, it's ok. I love this Formula X nail polish by Sephora in Wingwoman!  It is such a nice dark pink/red color, and it didn't chip!  Do you know how hard it is to find a nail polish that doest chip on me? This Three Tone "Bronzer" by Crown Brush is ridiculous... It looks like little kids play makeup.  It has a strip of bronze, a strip of pink, and one of a "highlight," and as soon as I took it out of he box the packaging fell apart.  I didn't even bother trying it, I just listed it on a swap website. But t...

Apple Pie Cupcakes!

I recomend to read this recipe all the way through before beginning to bake. I multi-task, but you need to find the order that works the best for you!  I will explain how I assemble and decorate them at the end! Cinnamon Cupcakes Ingredients: 1 cup milk 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature 2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 large eggs 1 3/4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line muffin tins with cupcake liners. Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Using a  mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the eggs and sugar until thick ribbons form (about 5 minutes).  Add the flour mixture and beat on low just until incorporated. Don't over mix!  Add milk mixture and va...

Book of the Month: January

Have you all ever heard of Book of the Month Club?  It is a subscription box unlike any other one I've seen!  Instead of makeup, food, or home goods like most boxes, you get to pick a book to have sent to you every month!  It is the perfect thing for bookworms like me! This subscription is only $16.99 per month, and you can choose to skip a month at any time if the five options they are offering do not appeal to you.  But here is the catch, today is the last day of their Galentine's sale they are offering through the blog My Subscription Addiction (love that place!).  So if you use the code MSABOOKLOVER you can get a three month subscription for only $29.97 (normally $44.97) along with a Book of the Moth tote bag and free credit for an extra book ($9.99 value)!  So you are getting four books for only about $30, which is less than you could get them in a bookstore, and are saving $25 over what you would pay for a normal subscription!  I highly ...
