Nadine West: Fourth Shipment

So this wasn't the most successful shipment ever, but I still got one nice piece out of it!  And they left me a sweet surprise which I'll tell you about at the end, so I wasn't upset at all!

This is actually two items from my shipment!  This outfit contains both the shirt and leggings from this month, and they kind of go together!  

Though I really liked the pattern of the leggings, they are much more like tights.  They were totally see through, which made me pretty sad.  If they were marketed as tights then I wouldn't be too disappointed, but these were called Leggings.  They retailed for $14.49, and I didn't keep them.

The shirt fit very well and was extremely comfy.  I have been looking for a shirt this color, so I was pretty excited to see it in my bag, even though it is pretty basic.  This shirt also retailed for $14.49, and I did elect to keep it!

These are the "Beauty Within" earrings, and I'm actually pretty sure I received the matching necklace for these a few shipments ago!  They are a bit big and a little gaudy for me.  I like the concept of the Tree jewelry, I just haven't liked these.  They retailed for $11.99. 

Did everyone watch Full House?  Remember the seashell earrings Danny's girlfriend Vicky wore in an episode?  Yeah... That is what this necklace reminded me of.  This was way too much and way too ocean-ish for me.  It retailed for $18.99 and I most certainly did not keep it!


This wasn't the best shipment I've gotten, but their customer service totally made up for it!   They sent me a message saying "We haven't liked anything in a while, to make up for it, we've added credit to this shipment as an apology" and gave me $5!  I'm just so impressed with them at every turn, it was so sweet!

Let's Talk...

I feel so bad, I have been such a flake with posting recently and the past month is when I should have been really focused on getting out content, because.... My summer classes started this week. And they are intense. Like, more so than I expected and I'm only a week in. Also, I just got my Summer schedule for the daycare I work at, and instead of my normal 9:30-5:30, I was switched to  6:00-12:30 ...  That is a huge difference, I've never gotten up that early in my life!  It is a lot better in some ways because I now have my full days free, but it's a difficult sleep schedule to get used to.   As a result, I've been spending my mornings at work, and my evenings doing homework, or attempting to have a social life...  This is my last Summer before college after all, so I want to have fun!  But it just makes things more difficult when I need to be in bed early for work, balance homework, and then there is this blog. I love having this...

Apple Spice Cupcakes

Ok... This is my new favorite go to fall/winter recipe! They are a huge hit wherever you take them! :) A pple Spice Cupcakes makes 18 cupcakes 2 eggs 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted 2/3 cup light brown sugar 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup milk  (I used almond milk) 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 1 and 1/2 cups flour 1/4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda   1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 small apples, chopped into fine pieces  (about 1.5 cups) Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Line muffin pan with baking cups. Set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, sugars, milk, and vanilla until completely smooth.  Set aside.  In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.  Slowly add the wet ingredients and stir until JUST combined.  Do not overmix. Slowly mix in the apples. Fill each baking cup about 2/3 full and bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toot...

2014-2015 Plum Paper Planner!

This is my new  Plum Paper Planner , and is most definitely one of my favorite possessions right now!  It came packaged like this...  I got  this  design, and added on an extra six months, making it an 18 month planner.  That was the really cool thing about this company, everything is customizable.  You can get your name and monogram on certain planner designs for free, you can add extra months like I did, add extra notes pages, budget pages, and more!  The standard planner with an extra six months was $48.75, which was pretty expensive... but it was a Christmas present, and will last me through the first year of college, so I could justify it! It has tabs on the side, which are laminated and reinforced  One of the first pages in the planner is a full 2015 planner, and on the next pages a 2016 calendar.  Each month begins with two note pages, which...
