Disney 2016: Day 3

11:15 a.m.
Good morning lovelies, it's Disney Day!!

I have had a countdown going on my phone for almost a year now, so seeing that 0 was the greatest thing ever!

I got up about 8 this morning and went for a walk on the beach before it was time to go, and you will never believe what I found...

A baby sea turtle! I was running/walking at the edge of the water and just happened to notice it.  I know you aren't supposed to touch them, but it looked dead so I went ahead, and it moved!  I think it must have washed up and couldn't get back, so I just wanted to help...

I put it back in the water and it swam a little, so I hope it made it...  Seeing a live baby sea turtle not in an aquarium is a total dream of mine, and the fact that I got to pick it up and feel it's little heartbeat amazes me!

After that we got ready and went down for breakfast, packed up our things, and are now on our way to Disney!

Today I am wearing my favorite romper from Forever 21, my FitBit, and my magic band and ears since I can finally do that without people thinking I'm weird!

12:10 p.m.
We just got out of Walmart (there has never been a quick trip to Walmart...) and now we are on our way to the Disney Outlet before we go in to Disney!

3:30 p.m.
Well that was an ordeal and a half but it was definitely worth it! The outlet mall where the Character Warehouse is was a madhouse! But I got a couple of cute things, and a few presents, for significantly cheaper than they would have been in the parks, so I'd say that it was a success!

5:15 p.m.
We are here! We are staying at Allstar Music resort, and of the ones we've been to it definitely is not my favorite... But we are at Disney so it doesn't matter!

Tonight we are going to dinner at Captain Cooks at the Polynesian resort, and then watching the fireworks!
I had Nachos on homemade chips and they were really really good... I'd heard Captain Cooks was good, but I was impressed!

9:45 p.m.
We finished dinner a couple hours ago and since then we've been resort hopping between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian.

Resort hopping is always a lot of fun because we get to enjoy a lot of the amenities of the deluxe resorts without paying the exorbitant prices!  Things like the live music at the Grand Floridian.

And the floor... I love the pretty designs on the floor.

They also have their own Basin, similar to the one in Disney Springs, but this is Basin White with cleaner scents and a few different products.

This is a view of the Grand Floridian after dark, it truly is a gorgeous resort.

We also spent some time at the Polynesian, my dream resort, before the fireworks and did some pictures at sunset!

I thought the sunset in this picture was gorgeous... These deck chairs are also where we watched the fireworks from with our Dole Whips!  They pipe in the music and you can just relax without any crowds and enjoy the fireworks.
Afterwards we headed back to our resort to get ready for our first day in Disney!

Thank you all so much for reading! I thought it would be fun to have a little summer Disney sun to brighten up snowy winter days!  If you missed yesterday you can see Days 1 and 2 here, or go to the Disney 2016 tag to see the full series!

Three Ways to Christmas Shop on the Cheap

Christmas shopping is something a lot of us tend to put off until the last second, and then are scrambling the week before Christmas to buy things just because you feel like you have to.  You end up buying something, at exorbitant obnoxious prices, that you know the person you are buying for won’t even like! I came up with a few ways you can get awesome presents, not have to kill yourself trying to get them at the last minute, and not break the bank... My first suggestion, is to shop in advance!  I know, this seems super simple, but you wouldn't believe the difference it makes to start a couple months in advance, and just buy things you know the person would like as you see them.  This year, I stopped in an antique shop on my way to work one day, just to look around.  I ended up leaving with this gorgeous bowl, mug, and tea set with I am planning to give to family members, and because the place was about to close down, I got them for half off the original price! 2018 Recap Part One (January-July)

So I took a year off!  2018 was a crazy year, and a lot has happened, so I thought it might be fun to do a recap of all of the fun, unexpected, and just crazy things that happened in 2018! January I started the year off by having coffee and lunch with my favorite girl at my favorite coffee shop! (She is also the photographer of the picture shown above.) The majority of the rest of January was spent trying to figure out my life... I made some big changes relationship wise by ending an almost five year relationship I was reluctant to let go of, but it ended up being a wonderful decision that has allowed me to grow in so many ways since.  Sometimes life has growing pains. Oh, I also turned 21 the month before, so there were a lot of other (now legal) activities going on in my life to help the healing process! February And in February a wonderful new man came into my life!  He was my roommate's best friend, so he had been around a lot, but suddenly I was a

Fragrant Jewels: Shipment One

So I decided to try a new Subscription Box... Remember when that was all I did??  I'm sure most of you have heard of the company Fragrant Jewels.  They create candles, bath bombs, and other fun products, all with rings hidden inside! The first box I received was a present for a friend, and I liked hers so much I decided to try it out as well!  I really wanted a candle though, and sadly this box didn't contain one.  But regardless, this is the Sweet Retreat collection.  The scent is described as "Cool Marine Breeze, Fresh Lavender, and Soothing Chamomile."  It is a bit to floral and fragrant to be especially soothing, but it is very nice and bright for spring. The first item in the box were mini bath bombs.  I actually prefer this size of bath bombs to the big ones!  I was, however, afraid that since they were mini that this product wouldn't come with a ring, which kind of defeats the purpose of Fragrant "Jewels" doesn't it?  But no worries
