Disney 2016: Day 4

6:10 a.m.
We are officially on Disney time... And today we are going to Hollywood studios! They open at 8:45, and we are going to be standing at the gates! We didn't get back until late last night, and then after packing park bags and showers... It was late. So I forgot to say goodnight, and I apologize!

Today I am wearing a Tinkerbell tank top from the Disney outlet a few years ago, Old Navy athletic shorts, Teva sandals, Glitter Minnie Ears from Jane/Etsy, my magic band and FitBit, and my hair just scrunched like any other day.

10:25 a.m.
We just sat down to watch Voyage of The Little Mermaid! We got in a few minutes early this morning, and have since rode Rock n' Roller coaster and Star Tours.

Since Star Wars is so popular right now it has became Hollywood Studios main focus.  They built the "Launch Bay" with memorabilia, and character meet and greets.  They organized a fireworks show (aside from Fantasmic, Star Wars replaced the Frozen craze), and have hourly shows in the middle of the park.  After the shows end the characters go back to their doors to go backstage scattered around the park, so you see character waling around all the time!  We saw a whole line of Stormtroopers...

R2D2, who moves on his own I might add...

and Darth Maul!  He was cool looking and a bit scary!

11:31
Frozen Sing Along time!
My preteen brother was toooootally too cool to be there, but I was loving it!

2:50 p.m.
We had ate a late lunch at Mama Melrose!

We had calamari and caesar salad as an appetizer, and then I steak with macaroni (best steak ever) for my meal.

We shared two dessert platters that had an orange sponge cake, tiramisu, and passion fruit cheesecake.

We always choose Mama Melrose because we can do the Fantasmic Dinner package.  You pay a set price for the meal and get an appetizer, salad, dinner, and dessert, and tickets to the show!

After watching the Frozen Sing Along earlier we had a bit of a rest, and then went to watch the Muppets show.  It is by far one of our favorites in this park!

They have the cutest fountain outside of the muppets theatre!

5:00 p.m.
Just sat down to watch Beauty and the Beast!

It is the cutest show and we always love it, but they need to add a few more fans to this 90 degree outdoor theatre!

6:00 p.m.
We finally got to watch Indiana Jones! As many times as we've been to Disney now it has always been too crowded or shut down for weather or something that prevents us from riding it!

And after we used a fastpass for the Tower of Terror!  It is by far one of our favorites!

9:00 p.m.
After Indiana Jones we saw Olaf!

He didn't even have that long of a wait, I was shocked!  And he was soooo cute!  So many warm hugs!

And then we used a fast pass for the Great Movie ride!

We skipped it the first couple of times we came, but after we finally gave it a shot I was really impressed!  It takes you through scenes of different iconic movies (not just Disney!) with a tour guide!  It is also interactive, because either a gangster or cowboy take over your tour and interact with different scenes!

We also rode Toy Story Mania, which is one of our favorites, and after getting out we got to see the Green Army Men!  That was a first!

I just love this whole area, it makes you feel like a toy!

And the signs are super cute.

Though they don't sign autographs, you can have your picture taken with no wait, and then after playing some games with us they marched away!

Now we are about to watch Hollywood Studio's fireworks show, Fantasmic!  But before we go, how about a Mickey pretzel??

The ending of Fantasmic is my favorite, I love seeing them all on the boat with Steamboat Mickey!

12:00 a.m.
It's been a long day and Fantasmic was fantastic... But now time for bed, see you all tomorrow!

Thank you all so much for reading! I thought it would be fun to have a little summer Disney sun to brighten up snowy winter days!  If you missed yesterday you can see Day 3 here, or go to the Disney 2016 tag to see the full series!

2018 Recap Part One (January-July)

So I took a year off!  2018 was a crazy year, and a lot has happened, so I thought it might be fun to do a recap of all of the fun, unexpected, and just crazy things that happened in 2018! January I started the year off by having coffee and lunch with my favorite girl at my favorite coffee shop! (She is also the photographer of the picture shown above.) The majority of the rest of January was spent trying to figure out my life... I made some big changes relationship wise by ending an almost five year relationship I was reluctant to let go of, but it ended up being a wonderful decision that has allowed me to grow in so many ways since.  Sometimes life has growing pains. Oh, I also turned 21 the month before, so there were a lot of other (now legal) activities going on in my life to help the healing process! February And in February a wonderful new man came into my life!  He was my roommate's best friend, so he had been around a lot, but suddenly I was a

Three Ways to Christmas Shop on the Cheap

Christmas shopping is something a lot of us tend to put off until the last second, and then are scrambling the week before Christmas to buy things just because you feel like you have to.  You end up buying something, at exorbitant obnoxious prices, that you know the person you are buying for won’t even like! I came up with a few ways you can get awesome presents, not have to kill yourself trying to get them at the last minute, and not break the bank... My first suggestion, is to shop in advance!  I know, this seems super simple, but you wouldn't believe the difference it makes to start a couple months in advance, and just buy things you know the person would like as you see them.  This year, I stopped in an antique shop on my way to work one day, just to look around.  I ended up leaving with this gorgeous bowl, mug, and tea set with I am planning to give to family members, and because the place was about to close down, I got them for half off the original price! Fragrant Jewels: Shipment One

So I decided to try a new Subscription Box... Remember when that was all I did??  I'm sure most of you have heard of the company Fragrant Jewels.  They create candles, bath bombs, and other fun products, all with rings hidden inside! The first box I received was a present for a friend, and I liked hers so much I decided to try it out as well!  I really wanted a candle though, and sadly this box didn't contain one.  But regardless, this is the Sweet Retreat collection.  The scent is described as "Cool Marine Breeze, Fresh Lavender, and Soothing Chamomile."  It is a bit to floral and fragrant to be especially soothing, but it is very nice and bright for spring. The first item in the box were mini bath bombs.  I actually prefer this size of bath bombs to the big ones!  I was, however, afraid that since they were mini that this product wouldn't come with a ring, which kind of defeats the purpose of Fragrant "Jewels" doesn't it?  But no worries
