Ipsy October

First of all, the bag for October? Super cute.
I mean, they have all been adorable, but this would be such a cute pop of color kind of clutch!


As far as the bag goes, it wasn’t my favorite, but I liked it!

The first thing I pulled out of the bag, also the least impressive and most expensive, were the tweezers.  They are from a company centered in another country, and with the exchange rate equaled out to about $20! 
I don’t generally pluck my eyebrows, and the tweezers I had weren’t great.  So though they aren’t my favorite thing I’ve ever gotten, it is a really nice product which I will put to use!

The next thing I got, which I was super excited to see, was an It Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara!
This is the first really nice makeup item I've received, and I am loving it! Just a couple of coats and your lashes are super long and dark.

I also received this Eve-NYC Hair Mask.  This is like a very thick conditioner, and smells faintly sweet, a bit like candy and vanilla.  It was a nice hair mask, but I wouldn't run out to repurchase it.

One of the things I have used the most and been the most excited about is the Peter Lamas Pumpkin Facial Scrub.  I swear, I could eat this stuff!  It smells so amazing.  It's not as course of a scrub as the St Ives Apricot scrub (my favorite), but it has been a fun little treat for the fall!

The final thing, which I have been using nonstop, is The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed.  This is the perfect your lips but better fall color, and I've really been loving it!  It is a mini sample size, so though that means there is less product, it is the perfect size to just stick in my wallet and go!

Overall, it was a really good bag!

I hadn't ever heard of this subscription box until I received an email about a promotion they were having.  This is a $19.99 subscription box, but they were offering a special discount for $6.99 plus two free gifts!  I figured, why not give it a try? It came in a HUGE heavy box!  Inside it was wrapped with a cute little sticker, and everything even moderately breakable was packaged in bubble wrap.  I was immediately impressed.   I thought I'd show the two sweet little extra gifts they sent me first... My Petal Club

A new box!  And a PERIOD subscription box at that!  I love finding new boxes to try out, especially when they are this affordable!  This box is normally $6.99 per month, but if you use the discount code "SUMMER" on mypetalclub.com , this box will be only $3.50!  And let's be honest, one box of pads/tampons is usually more expensive than that, so why not give it a try?? So this box primarily consists of just the period products with very few extras.  This isn't one of the present, feel-good kind of boxes, it just provides you with the necessary products to get through the month, at an affordable price. Be Mine... Kissable Lip Routine

I thought this was a kind of unique post, but also a great way to kick off Beach Babe's Be Maine Valentine's Day Series! I mean, you can't have a Valentines Day without soft kissable lips! Even if you don't have a Valentine this year, you don't want to be caught by surprise! ;) First thing i do (and the very first thing you all should do!) is start out by exfoliating your lips! Before I use a Lip Scrub, I run warm water over a washcloth, wring it out, and rub my lips with this. Next I take a lip scrub (if you would like to know what I use check out this link here, but any kind you prefer will work). I use the washcloth on my lips first so that they will be more open to absorb the benefits of the Scrub. Lastly, I apply some of the lip scrub to a clean toothbrush and use this on my lips. Grab the washcloth once again and wipe the scrub and crystals away! :) The next thing you should do in your kissable lips routine, is apply a lip balm. My favorites are the eos...
