Yoga

So if you are anything like me you don't exactly feel like working out on Sundays, it's my one day to rest between church! So on Sunday I have began trying out yoga. When I first thought about trying it I was kind of against the idea because it just seems like you would be taking time out of your day to do something that has no effect on your body! Well needless to say.... I was wrong. Besides relaxing you, it helps you to become even more flexible, and to a certain degree stronger. I don't do the "Owm" and meditating thing though!

These should be done with s..l..o..w, f..l..o..w..i..n..g motions. Remember to breathe deeply!

This workout is a bit longer and has the places marked where to inhale and exhale. These should still be done with s..l..o..w, and f..l..o..w..i..n..g motions!

I just happened to like these two workouts the best but there are many others in all degrees of difficulty.
Enjoy!

  1. Yoga is an amazing way of relieving stress too! I'm promising myself everyday to take up yoga or start meditating, all for nothing by now, but maybe I'll give it a try after your post:)

Christmas Decorations

I decorated my dorm prior to Thanksgiving so we would be able to have the decorations up for quite a while before going home.  My classes ended the first week in December, so there wouldn't have been a point to decorating after!  After coming home for Christmas break I simply decorated my room at home with the decorations I had at school, so I thought it would be fun to show you both! Dorm This is where all of the main decorations in the room were.  We already had the lights up so we simply hung icicles and a bow from them.  We placed clings on the window the said "Let it Snow."  On the windowsill we sat my fiberoptic tree in the middle, and then added little knick knacks all around, which you can't see well because of the weird lighting... I swear I didn't take this in a dark room, but the combination of backlighting from outside, the string lights, and the tree, it all just messed with my camera. Here closer up picture of the tree and the things...

Dorm Life VoxBox

I got another VoxBox from Influenster!  This is a company that sends complementary products to a group of people in exchange for reviews and posts about them.  So this is sponsored in a way, but all opinions are 100% true and my own!  If you want to see allllll of my sponsored posts then check out my Instagram , because they are coming!  I am @bethanyallen15. This is called the #DormLife VoxBox and it is themed around all the different kinds of things a college girl might want or need! Look at all of the stuff in this box!  It is packed to the brim, and with a large variety of things, so let's get into it. This is the Not Your Mother's Naturals Tapioca and Rice Dry Shampoo.  I loooove dry shampoo and use it on the daily, but personally, I am very loyal to Batiste brand.  I have tried a couple others and not really been impressed, but Not Your Mother's is usually a very nice brand, so I was super excited to give this a shot. ...

Homemade Beauty... Natural Toners

Sliced strawberries, grapes, cucumbers, lemons, and tomatoes work wonderfully as  natural toners to tighten skin and shrink pores.   Strawberries make an excellent cleanser, moisturizer, and skin-softener. They are rich in healthy-skin vitamins A & C and have a neutral PH so they are mild. Grapes can reduce wrinkles, even skin tone, moisturize, and reduce the  appearance of scars. The high water content in cucumbers hydrates and cools your skin, and the natural oils in help soften your skin. Lemon juice and water can be used to lighten dark spots on your skin, and reduce shine caused by oil on your face. Tomatoes contain gentle acids which will help to cleanse your skin while removing dead skin cells and clearing black heads. Pick the one you think wold work best for you, slice, and apply directly to your face.  Comment below and let me know your results if you try this out!
