Fall Bucket List

So for Fall this year I decided it would be fun to make a bucket list!  There are always things I want to do and wish I had done after the season is over, in both fall and winter.  But, after everything is said and done, it seems like I did very little of it!  I missed all the best movies and activities, and what do I have to show?

This year wasn't going to be like that!  Though I didn't finish every single activity, I made a good effort and had a ton of fun making this.  I would totally reccomend making one for yourself for the Christmas season, I am!

Watch Scary Movies
I'm not a huge huge fan of scary movies, but every once in a while I love watching one with my boyfriend (as long as he promises not to leave after, because I'm gonna be terrified...)  This year, we were on a Stranger Things kick.  We had waited impatiently for a year for the second season to come out, and thus far it has not disappointed!  And I totally count this as a scary movie because it never fails to make me jump.

Go to a Corn Maze (except it wasn't Haunted...)
I cheated on this one a little...  Every year I used to go with my boyfriend and his family/friends to a haunted corn maze and haunted house, but tat didn't happen this year.  But, for the first time ever, I went to a corn maze you had to legitimately find your way out of!  There were mailboxes hidden in the maze, and you had to find them and put together the map with pieces that were inside.  We were one of the last ones out, but we completed the mad, and we all got pumpkins as a prize!

Bake Fall Cupcakes
I thought this might not happen since I haven't been as into baking this year as I used to be, but Thanksgiving brought it out of me!  These were Banana Apple cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, and they were pretty awesome if I do say so myself!

And look how cute we were for Thanksgiving!  We didn't even try to match, it just happened!

Go Hiking and on a Picnic
Never happened... I let it get cold and the leaves fell before I ever made it out to the parkway!

Make Apple Cider Sangria
This... I was all about this!  It had almost a full double bottle of wine with some cinnamon whiskey, I mixed that with apple juice concentrate, and a few other things to really make it pop.  Recipe is coming soon!

Carve Pumpkins
So my boyfriend and I carved the scary awesome one on the right, my roomie and her boy carved the one on the left... I think their clingy-ness might be even more terrifying!
Just kidding!
My other roommate drew the cute one in the middle because she didn't feel like carving.  We did all this on Halloween this year while watching Stranger Things, I think that is a tradition I'd like to keep up, it was a nice night!

Go on a Tourist-y Leaf Looking Drive
Sorry for the car window pic, but I was the one driving and was trying not to wreck!  Ever heard of the viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway?  It is one of the most gorgeous views on the entire parkway.

This is not my picture, but I have had the pleasure of seeing this view many timed and my picture just didn't do it justice.  No filter, I just live in that beautiful of a place and I couldn't be more blessed.

Try My First Pumpkin Spice Latte
I was not impressed to say the least... What is the hype with this flavor??  I won't be paying $5 for this drink again!

Dress Cozy for a Football Game
I always like the idea of chilly late fall football games...  The reality is a bit more like frost bite.  When we were sitting on the bank covered up I was very happy! But then...

We moved to the bleachers.  And my butt was wet from the grass.  It was no longer very fun.
But as for the outfit, I was pretty proud of it!
The jacket is from Target
The sweater is from TJ-Maxx, in my school colors!
Not sure about the leggings, I have had them too long to remember!
The boots are from Belks
And I'm pretty sure the ear warmers are from Walmart!  They have lace and buttons on the other side, they are pretty cute!

Have a Bonfire
As I said with the picnic and hike, it got too cold!  I've done bonfires in 30 degree weather, but I can't say it's my favorite...

Listen to Christmas Music Early
I've been working on this playlist nonstop, please let me know if you have any suggestions for things I should add!

Also, Christmas movies!!!

Go Stargazing
Once again, too cold...

Visit a Farmer's Market
Crazy family things came up and I never made it to the Farmer's Market, but I went Black Friday shopping!  That's basically the same thing, right?
Yeah...
I spent all my money.
I should have went to a Farmer's Market instead.

Fun Fall DIY
First, there were these.  I painted them and covered them in stickers from Target's dollar section!  I'm still not 100% sure I love them TBH, but they are pretty cute!

And then I painted a pumpkin!  While my boy worked on carving our scary pumpkin, I painted cute polka dots on mine!

Bonus #1: Dress Up for a Halloween Party
This wasn't really on my bucket list because I haven't ever been to Halloween parties, so I didn't expect to go to any this year.  I ended up visiting my friend at Wingate University and going to one with her friends!
I am Rosie the Riveter!  As a History Ed Major, I couldn't resist.

And here is my friend, who was the cutest deer!

Bonus #2: Visit a Pumpkin Patch (Twice!)
I thought hard about putting this on my bucket list, but decided against it because Ive never been before and thought it was pretty basic.  Turns out, I went twice, and loved it!

For the first trip I went with my roommates to a patch near our town.

It was an adorable place and we had the best time.  They had this truck just made for basic white girl photo ops!  So needless to say, we took advantage!

The second trip was when I went to see my friend at another school over Halloweekend!  On this trip I actually bought a ton of pumpkins!  The baby one in my lap was hers, and the big one and all the gourds in the wagon were mine!  This place was more kid oriented with all kinds of fun activities, and I honestly wish I had been little enough to play too!

And that, my friends, is it!  Doing all of this really made the season more fun for me as I was constantly plotting on how to complete the next activity.  It kept me from sitting around being bored, I had a goal to complete and I was determined to make it happen!
Now, on to Christmas!

Ipsy: June

My June Ipsy bag!   Probably my least favorite part of this bag... was the actual bag.  It's quite ugly, but the products are good for the most part! This Be a Bombshell lipgloss in Secret is ok… It’s a nice brand, so I’m not mad at it, it just isn't my favorite.  I put it on and it had almost a concealer like tint instead of the pretty pinky nude in the tube.  I have used it since and if used with a lighter hand, it's ok. I love this Formula X nail polish by Sephora in Wingwoman!  It is such a nice dark pink/red color, and it didn't chip!  Do you know how hard it is to find a nail polish that doest chip on me? This Three Tone "Bronzer" by Crown Brush is ridiculous... It looks like little kids play makeup.  It has a strip of bronze, a strip of pink, and one of a "highlight," and as soon as I took it out of he box the packaging fell apart.  I didn't even bother trying it, I just listed it on a swap website. But t...

Apple Pie Cupcakes!

I recomend to read this recipe all the way through before beginning to bake. I multi-task, but you need to find the order that works the best for you!  I will explain how I assemble and decorate them at the end! Cinnamon Cupcakes Ingredients: 1 cup milk 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature 2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 large eggs 1 3/4 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line muffin tins with cupcake liners. Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Using a  mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the eggs and sugar until thick ribbons form (about 5 minutes).  Add the flour mixture and beat on low just until incorporated. Don't over mix!  Add milk mixture and va...

Book of the Month: January

Have you all ever heard of Book of the Month Club?  It is a subscription box unlike any other one I've seen!  Instead of makeup, food, or home goods like most boxes, you get to pick a book to have sent to you every month!  It is the perfect thing for bookworms like me! This subscription is only $16.99 per month, and you can choose to skip a month at any time if the five options they are offering do not appeal to you.  But here is the catch, today is the last day of their Galentine's sale they are offering through the blog My Subscription Addiction (love that place!).  So if you use the code MSABOOKLOVER you can get a three month subscription for only $29.97 (normally $44.97) along with a Book of the Moth tote bag and free credit for an extra book ($9.99 value)!  So you are getting four books for only about $30, which is less than you could get them in a bookstore, and are saving $25 over what you would pay for a normal subscription!  I highly ...
