Splatter Paint Nails!

What you’ll need:
  • a paper plate
  • Tape and scissors
  • Q-tips
  • Nail polish remover
  • 1 straw, cut in half
  •  At Least 3 nail polishes colors

How To:
  1. Paint your nails an opaque white and let them dry.
  2. Take a strip of tape and wrap it around your finger just under the cuticle. Do this to each nail, it makes clean-up easier
  3. Splatter Time! Place a couple of drops of polish onto your paper plate and dip one end of the straw into the polish. With your nail on the plate, place the straw about 2 to 3 inches from your nail and use a quick breath to blow out the polish. Repeat for all 10 nails!
  4. Next, repeat step 3 with your second, third, four... (you get the picture) nail polish color.
  5. Once you’re done splattering, remove the tape and use a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover to clean up the edges.
  6. Finish with a clear top coat!

Ipsy: June

My June Ipsy bag!   Probably my least favorite part of this bag... was the actual bag.  It's quite ugly, but the products are good for the most part! This Be a Bombshell lipgloss in Secret is ok… It’s a nice brand, so I’m not mad at it, it just isn't my favorite.  I put it on and it had almost a concealer like tint instead of the pretty pinky nude in the tube.  I have used it since and if used with a lighter hand, it's ok. I love this Formula X nail polish by Sephora in Wingwoman!  It is such a nice dark pink/red color, and it didn't chip!  Do you know how hard it is to find a nail polish that doest chip on me? This Three Tone "Bronzer" by Crown Brush is ridiculous... It looks like little kids play makeup.  It has a strip of bronze, a strip of pink, and one of a "highlight," and as soon as I took it out of he box the packaging fell apart.  I didn't even bother trying it, I just listed it on a swap website. But t

Homecoming VoxBox

I was so happy to have received another awesome box of free stuff in the mail!! I love getting mail... Especially packages! This is called the "Homecoming VoxBox" I'm assuming this means it contains things such as school essentials, and things to make yourself look super cute for Homecoming court and Homecoming dances!   Oh, and food, what High Schooler doesn't love food. I'll start out with the given product description, and then give my personal opinion... "Luden’s throat drops offer deliciously soothing relief of irritated throats. Enjoy 4 new flavors: WATERMELON, Strawberry-Banana, Blue Raspberry, and Green Apple." I am not the type of person who reachers for cough drops every time they get sick, because I think they are disgusting, but apparently these taste like candy!  So Watermelon for the win! "Red Vines candy is the deliciously rewarding treat that has been making special moments even sweeter for generat

DIY Melted Crayon Ornaments!

Supplies: Clear Glass Balls (mini or large!) Broken Crayons Knife or Vegetable Peeler Hairdryer Paper Plate Directions: Peel any paper off of the crayon, and begin to shave wax curls from the side of the crayon.  You can do this by pressing and sliding the knife or peeler along the crayon as you would chocolate while baking.  Make sure the curls fall onto the paper plate! Remove the top metal piece of the glass ornament.  Bend the plate to make a spout and pour the curls into the ornament.  I like to fill mine about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way full, but it is totally up to you to decide how full you would like the sides of the ornament to look! Reinsert the metal piece in the top of the ornament.  With the hairdryer on low to medium speed, begin to heat up the ornament.  Shake and rotate periodically to fully coat the inside.  Be careful, it gets very hot! Place a hook on the ring, hang on the tree, and thank me later!
