Outer Banks 2013: Day 11, Monday June 17th

9:00 AM
Well we had to wake up early this morning... Since Elijah was sick yesterday we missed a lot of what we were going to do, and had to try and fit it all in in two days instead of three. But missing that day was worth it because he feels so much better today :) We had waffles again foe breakfast this morning, which were just as good as the day before. Now we are driving across the road to the Wright Brothers Memorial.

Now we are on our way to Currituck Lighthouse!

We de decided to stop for lunch at a place in Duck called Route 12.
 We know about it because it was featured on the Tv show Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. I had Chicken Tenders and fries, which were very good :)

We just left Currituck Lighthouse, the Wildlife Center, and The Whalehead Club.

For something that was built to be purely functional, it has some pretty iron work :)

Now we are on our way back to Duck to do some shopping :)

We just left the shopping center! I didn't get anything, but I did get this humungo snow cone!
It was huge!!!
Now we are heading out to eat!

Tonight, our last night, we ate at the Sugarshack where I had Bacon and Cheese filled Potato Skins. Once again we got to watch the sun set while we ate which was very pretty :)

 We were planning on playing Putt-putt one last time before vacation ended, but it is raining :( So instead we are making another trip back to Kitty Hawk Kites! :)

Made it back to the room finally :) At Kitty Hawk Kites Elijah got to pick out a toy, so he picked this set where you build a straw... It sounded kind of weird, until I saw him do it :)
Now I think it is pretty awesome :)
We have been working on repacking up all of our suitcases again and we just finished! So I would say it is time to go to bed. Goodnight everyone! :)

College Countdown: Basic College Packing List

In this list I'm not going to go over every single thing.  Throughout this week I will do separate posts on Clothing and Makeup etc.  On Saturday of this week I will post a concise version of this including everything mentioned.  For now I would just like to go over basics such as kitchen items, "school supplies" and other items you may not have thought of! Kitchen These are basics that you might need if you are in a dorm and do not necessarily have a kitchen.  I will have a sink, so it will be doable for me to wash dishes as needed.  If you do not have a sink you might consider buying disposable silverware and dishes so you won't have to wash them in the bathroom. Plastic Bowls Plastic Cups Tumblers or Reusable Water Bottles - I recommend this regardless of if you have a sink. What I did this Month: Summer 2015 Part One!

So where to begin... I stopped posting when life got hectic around the end of Spring after prom season, and it hasn't slowed down since! So I figured it might be fun to celebrate the first day of Fall rehashing my Summer  The fun began right before the end of my senior year in high school, with senior skip day where the entire senior class took a trip to a waterpark/campground! Trust me, we were beast at this kayak! At one point, we were even standing up while paddling and had perfect balance.  The only bobble of the entire trip would be when one of our friends was coming at us in his kayak with a fishing pole and hook sticking off the front.  He rammed us. And flipped us.  In water most defiantly NOT meant for swimming... It was disgusting.    And this would be us, hot, sweaty, and drenched in swamp water on our final bus ride as high schoolers!
