Homemade Beauty... Kool-aid Lipgloss

You Will Need:

1 tub of petroleum jelly (Vaseline)

1 package of Kool-Aid drink mix (use your favorite flavor!)

About 10 lip gloss containers or small tubs to put the lip gloss into

Directions:

Put 1 cup of Vaseline into a microwave safe bowl and heat in the microwave for 30-second increments (stir between each heating) until the Vaseline is melted into liquid form. It should take around 7 to 8 minutes.
Once the Vaseline is liquid (be careful, it will be very hot!!!), remove the bowl from the microwave and slowly stir in Kool-Aid until you get the color you want--the more you add the darker the color, so add it in gradually. Keep stirring the Kool-Aid until the crystals are totally dissolved in the Vaseline.
Pour the mixture into lip gloss containers or airtight tubs. Let it set for a few hours to allow the gloss to solidify.

Fragrant Jewels: Shipment One

So I decided to try a new Subscription Box... Remember when that was all I did?? I'm sure most of you have heard of the company Fragrant Jewels. They create candles, bath bombs, and other fun products, all with rings hidden inside! The first box I received was a present for a friend, and I liked hers so much I decided to try it out as well! I really wanted a candle though, and sadly this box didn't contain one. But regardless, this is the Sweet Retreat collection. The scent is described as "Cool Marine Breeze, Fresh Lavender, and Soothing Chamomile." It is a bit to floral and fragrant to be especially soothing, but it is very nice and bright for spring. The first item in the box were mini bath bombs. I actually prefer this size of bath bombs to the big ones! I was, however, afraid that since they were mini that this product wouldn't come with a ring, which kind of defeats the purpose of Fragrant "Jewels" doesn't it? But no worries

Pigeon Forge Girls Weekend!

Day 1, Sunday 7:20 p.m. Surprise, I'm in Pigeon Forge for a mini vacation! My best friend in the entire world, Kaitlyn, and I left after church this morning. We wanted to spend a few nights together before college begins, and we live hours and hours apart... We just arrived at our cabin, and we thought since it was in a gated community it would be pretty close together and accessible... No. We are in the middle of nowhere up an itty bitty winding road, but it's really pretty inside and out!
