It's my Blogoversary!

Hi, my name is Bethany!  

I am an 18 year old freshman currently attending Mayland Community College.  While not at school, I work at a daycare as a teacher of the 5-12 year olds. 
I created this blog three years ago today in 2012.  At the time, I was a high school sophomore excited about going to the beach and in need of an outlet for projecting that.  That, my darlings, is how Summertime Sweety was born!  
Since then, the goals of this blog have slightly changed as I've matured.  Most of my posts now are focused around my life, including travel, as well as daily activities and special events.  I also enjoy posting about baking, makeup, subscription boxes, and hauls.  If you can't tell, it's a pretty eclectic mix, but, such is life!

If you are a returning visitor you will see that things have changed quite a bit over the past year.  Not long ago I completely revamped the look and layout of this blog, and within the last week I have changed a few minor things, and am still in the process of doing so.  I am currently taking an online blogging course in an effort to improve myself for you all!  So, my plan for the near future is to get out two posts to you all a week.  A makeup, cooking, planning, or packing post every Saturday, and lifestyle blog every Wednesday.  With all of the things currently on my plate, I'm not sure if this will be feasible, but I am going to give it my best effort, because I truly love writing and putting content out there for you all!

In closing, I would just like to thank any of you who have been there for me, and with me, through the past three years.  It hasn't always been a smooth and consistent journey, but seeing my original posts and the way they have changed, and improved make it worth it.  By no means do I plan to stop anytime soon, and I hope to see continued improvements  in my writing skills, passion, and quality of posts!

Disney 2016: Day 8

1:15 p.m. Good evening girls! We have had a late morning, and are currently on our way to Disney Springs! We woke up around 9:30 and have just hung around our hotel and done some laundry since then, it's been nice not to do much! Today I am wearing a Jessica Simpson romper from Dillard's, my Sanuks, my FitBit, my new Alex and Ani Disney bracelet (!!!), my gold earrings from Maurice's, and my hair is scrunched! My dad bought me an Alex and Ani in Magic Kingdom, it says "A Dream is a Wish your Heart makes."  It is so cute, I love it! 2:30 p.m. Just finished lunch at Earl of Sandwich! I had a chipotle chicken avocado sandwich, and even though the restaurant was crazy crowded, the food was actually pretty good! 7:00 p.m. I just had a spiritual experience... Because I just tried my first ever Sprinkles Cupcake! It had toasted marshmallow frosting, and I could have eaten four more.  They were so good!! They even had a cupcake ATM outsi...

"Lash Like a Boss" Maybelline VoxBox

I received the Maybelline Lash Like a Boss VoxBox complementary from Influenster!  I was so excited.  I have gotten lots of boxes from them at this point, but very few are ever makeup and that is one of my favorite things!   This box contained two items, the Master Precise Curvy Liquid Eyeliner, and the Colossal Big Shot Mascara. My liquid eyeliner had just dried out, so I can't tell you how excited I was about this!  I wear winged lined quite a bit, but had never been truly good at getting a good line and wing.  Apparently I just didn't have the right eyeliner because now it's the easiest thing ever!  It is a fat tool that fits well in your hand, so it is very comfortable to hold.  The tip is flat and comes to a point, it looks almost like a spade in a deck of cards.  So if you want a fat line you can turn the tip one direction, or flip it the other way for one that is skinny and precise.  Overall, this honestly couldn't be any...
